摘要： A push chain is used to drive a piston into a canister of extrudable material. The push chain is stored in an elongated chain magazine, withdrawn from the magazine and into the canister by actuation of a trigger connected to a sprocket for the chain. The push chain exerts a compressive force on a piston rod connected to a piston at a point offset from the center line of the piston, causing the piston to rotate to lock the push chain. The amount of material remaining in a tube of extrudable material is enunciated by way of a contents indicator driven by the push chain.

The mounting clip may have an essentially inverted “L” shaped configuration including a foot portion having engagement elements for attachment to corresponding engagement elements on a housing of a personal device. A leg portion provides for attachment to an undergarment or other suitable article of clothing. A heel portion located between and connecting the leg portion and foot portion allows the foot portion to flexibly and durably retract from the housing for attachment. The mounting clip may include a snap tab beam locking mechanism having a barb for interlocking with a bump provided on the housing or a rotatable cam locking mechanism having one or more radial snap tabs having engagement elements for engaging corresponding surfaces on the mounting clip. Rotation of the rotatable cam locks and unlocks the mounting clip onto the housing.

Multiple first portions form the first end of the scleral prosthesis. The first portions are separated along at least half of a length of the scleral prosthesis. Multiple second portions may form the second end of the scleral prosthesis, and the second portions may be separated along less than a quarter of the length of the scleral prosthesis. An implantation device can be used to facilitate implantation of a scleral prosthesis. The implantation device includes a first end portion configured to be inserted into a scleral tunnel of an eye. The implantation device also includes a second end portion configured to receive the scleral prosthesis. A rod with a tapered and rounded end can be partially inserted into the first end portion of the implantation device.

摘要： Provided is a hygienic wipes steamer having a housing assembly with a liquid container and a generally planar heater assembly being supported thereby. The housing assembly may be configured for supporting either a stack of individual sheets of hygienic wipes material or a roll of hygienic wipes material. The individual sheets of both the roll and the stack are preferably arranged in detached relationship to one another and are successively delivered to the heater assembly. A wipes transporter may be further included within the housing assembly and is operative to successively engage the uppermost one of the individual sheets of the stack for transportation to the heater assembly. Alternatively, a roller assembly may be included with the housing assembly and is preferably operative to deliver individual sheets to the heater assembly prior to warming and moisturizing thereof.

摘要： There is disclosed herein a haircutting device or aid which has a pair of movable members which can be slid through the hair and moved to lift a section of hair for cutting. The device comprises a handle which is held in the hand of the user, a lower comb section and an upper comb section. The upper comb section has connected therewith a lever which allows the upper comb section to be raised with respect to the lower comb section to lift the length of hair. Preferably the lower comb section includes a smooth "comb" base member which can slide along the scalp, and the upper comb section terminates in a comb having a plurality of teeth which likewise move through the hair of the scalp and lift the length of hair to be cut. Scissors are used in a conventional manner along the upper comb member to cut the hair extending beyond the lifted length. The lower comb section is adjustable with respect to the handle which, in turn, enables adjustment of the length of hair to be lifted for cutting. A locking mechanism locks the position of the lower comb member with respect to the handle to select and fix the desired adjustment. Removable comb members are disclosed. An alternative arrangement which provides a slidable stop member also is disclosed. The components can all be molded of plastic.

摘要： Disclosed is a method and apparatus for accomplishing a noninvasive screen for breast disease markers, including breast cancer markers and cytologically abnormal cells. Intraductal fluid is noninvasively aspirated using compression, heating and suction cycles. The removed sample is thereafter assayed for the presence of cytologically abnormal cells and/or one or more breast disease markers. In addition to the diagnostic applications of the disclosed method and apparatus, a therapeutic application is also contemplated wherein intraductal fluids are noninvasively aspirated using compression, heating and suction cycles to remove toxic buildups within the fluid.

An import log file on a second portable storage medium is received at the master site from the subordinate site, where the import log file includes a replication status for each of the one or more objects. The replication from the master site to the subordinate site is validated by recording the replication status for each of the one or more objects in a data repository.
