摘要： The invention provides, in one aspect, a method of searching an RDF triples data store of the type in which the triples are maintained in accord with a first storage schema. The method includes inputting a first query specifying RDF triples that are to be identified in the data store. That first query assumes either (i) that the triples are stored in a schema-less manner (i.e., with no storage schema) or (ii) that the triples are maintained in accord with a second storage schema that differs from the first. The method further includes generating, from the first query, a second query that specifies those same RDF triples, yet, that reflects the first storage schema. That second query can be applied to the RDF triples data store in order to identify and/or retrieve the desired data.

摘要： A query cache stores queries and corresponding results of the queries, the results of the queries being derived from a primary store. A differential store stores a pointer to data of the primary store which has changed and which affects the result of the queries stored in the query store. A new query may be satisfied by accessing the corresponding query in the query store and determining, by reference to the differential store, whether data relating to the query in the primary store has changed since the query store was compiled and, completing the new query, by accessing the corresponding data in the primary store, if applicable. Data in the differential store may be arranged and partitioned according to labels. The partitioning may be varied according to predetermined rules.

摘要： A self-healing coating, incorporating medium-sized microcapsules filled with a liquid formulation, repairs itself upon physical compromise. In one embodiment, a commercial primer is mixed with these microcapsules and applied. After the coating has cured, any physical compromise of the cured coating results in the microcapsules bursting to release the liquid, in turn filling and sealing the compromised volume of the coating. In applications where a product is used to provide corrosion protection, the liquid contains anti-corrosion material as well as suitable diluents and film-forming compounds. In a preferred embodiment, the microcapsules are provided separately to be mixed with commercial products during preparation for application of the coating. For example, if a paint formulation is known a priori, tailored microcapsules packaged separately from the paint and designed for use with the paint formulation, are wet mixed into the paint during preparation for application.
