    • An apparatus for eliminating electricity leakage from an electronic device connected to a power supply, while the electronic device is in switched-off state or stand-by state is disclosed. The electricity leakage is the electricity consumed by at least one active component of the electronic device that remains active in the switched-off state or standby state. The apparatus comprises of a charging module connected to at least one rechargeable battery for selectively providing electricity from the power supply to the rechargeable battery while the electronic device is in switched-on state using a MCU chip and associated circuit. An isolation module is provided for isolating the power supply from the electronic device while the electronic device is in switched-off state or standby state and restoring the power supply when the electronic device is in switched-on state. A back up module connected to the rechargeable battery, providing power to at least one active component from the rechargeable battery such that at least one active component remains operational even when the electronic device is in switched-off state or standby state.

    • A method of determining a composite life expectancy of an insured is provided. The composite life expectancy may be for purposes of evaluating issuance of a life settlement policy. The method may include the steps of collecting personal medical data being representative of medical circumstances of the insured; collecting actuarial data being representative of actuarial circumstances of the insured; calculating a medical life expectancy in response to the medical data of the insured; calculating an actuarial life expectancy utilizing a statistical analysis of the actuarial data of the insured relative to other persons of the same actuarial circumstances as the insured; and determining the composite life expectancy in response to an evaluation of the medical life expectancy and the actuarial life expectancy of the insured.

    • A rotary valve apparatus suitable for transporting particulate solid materials from one pressure region to another pressure region, each pressure region may be at different operating temperatures. The apparatus includes a stationary housing defining a generally cylindrical shaped chamber with inlet and outlet openings; end walls enclosing the cylindrical chamber; an elongated shaft journaled centrally within the housing and end walls; and a plurality of vanes affixed to the shaft. The vanes are in communication with the walls of the cylindrical chamber to form a seal. The seal between the vane and cylindrical chamber wall is effectuated by a vane blade which is affixed to each vane. Vane blades are constructed using a metal blade partially sandwiched between an elastomer material, the exposed portion of metal blade is in a sealing engagement with the walls of the cylindrical chamber. At the end of the vanes are shrouds which, in cooperation with the vane, form pockets. Sealing between the pockets and the end walls is accomplished by placing a resilient packing around the cylindrical chamber in between the shrouds and end walls.

    • A method, computer readable medium, and system for providing a mobile communication network includes dynamically forming a plurality of mobile communication devices into one or more clusters based on one or more parameters, each of the one or more clusters having a tree structure. Each of the one or more clusters are at least partially meshed together. At least one virtual identifier is dynamically assigned to each of the plurality of mobile communication devices based on the tree structure of each of the one or more clusters. The virtual identifier provides address information for routing communications between two or more of the plurality of mobile communication devices.
