摘要： A battery 10A with leads has a low-profile external casing acting 11 as one of a pair of electrode terminals and a closure plate 12 acting as the other of the electrode terminals. The closure plate 12 hermetically seals an opening of the external casing 11 via an insulating gasket. A pair of lead plates 13 and 14 are each welded to a different one of the electrode terminals 11 and 12. One of the lead plates 13 and 14 is secured to a circuit board X. The lead plate 14 that is secured to the circuit board has a net-like structure.

摘要： A data receiving apparatus capable of reducing bit errors caused by noise includes a threshold value calculation unit, a judgment timing output unit, a data judgment unit, and a majority-rule judgment unit. The threshold value calculation unit calculates a plurality of different threshold values to judge whether the status of a received signal is ‘1’ or ‘0’. The judgment timing output unit outputs a plurality of judgment timings in a one-bit section of the received signal. The data judgment unit compares the received signal with each of the threshold values at the judgment timings and judges whether the status of the received signal is ‘1’ or ‘0’. The majority-rule judgment unit decides, by majority rule, on the ‘1’ and ‘0’ statuses obtained by the data judgment unit in the one-bit section and outputs the majority of the ‘1’ and ‘0’ statuses as the signal status of the received signal.

摘要： An optical transmission technique for a ring transmission system that can transmit time-division-multiplexed optical signals in dual directions. An optical transmitting apparatus comprises a data link reading section, a topology creating section, a data link writing section, a squelch table creating section, a squelch table, an RIP table creating section, an RIP table, a node recognizing section, an east-side receiving unit, an east-side transmitting unit, a west-side transmitting unit, and a west-side receiving unit. When a transmission route is switched at plural positions, the squelch table and the RIP table are automatically created as soon as a crossconnect is set. With minimum setting, the ring transmission system can be normally operated without increasing the number of setting items, the squelch table can be created at a high speed using existing hardware, and an alarm can be automatically transmitted from a secondary node until each table is created.

摘要： A plant gene, Esr2, has been found which when overexpressed in plant cells results in cells which have cytokinin-independent cell growth. This feature allows the encoded protein ESR2 to be used as a selectable marker of transformed cells by growing the transformed cells on cytokinin-free media. It has also been found that overexpression of ESR2 in cells grown in the presence of cytokinins results in a higher regeneration of plants. This feature allows the gene to be used to obtain greater regeneration of plant cells.
