    • An apparatus and method for video data processing in digital video decoding, such as digital video disk (DVD) decoding, which produces new video data according to main picture data, sub-picture unit (SPU) data, and an aspect ratio. The apparatus includes a sub-picture-unit-decoding and color-determining device, a mixer, a buffer, and an interpolator. The sub-picture-unit-decoding and color-determining device is used for performing sub-picture decoding and color determination on the SPU data, and producing decoded SPU data. The mixer, coupled to the SPU-decoding and color-determining device, is employed to mix the main picture data and the decoded SPU data, and outputting combined video data. The buffer, coupled to the mixer, for storing the combined video data outputted from the mixer. The interpolator is used to receive the combined video data from the mixer and to read previously combined video data from the buffer, and to generate the new video data by performing an interpolation operation according to the aspect ratio, the combined video data, and the previously combined video data.

    • An interface circuit for use in an electronic device includes a switch module and a control module including signal receiving and transmitting pins. When a first audio terminal of the electronic device is electrically connected to a second audio terminal of another device, the control module controls the switch module to establish electrical connection between the signal receiving pin and the first audio terminal. The control module controls the switch module to establish electrical connection either between the signal transmitting pin and the first audio terminal for proceeding with a program update when updating information from the second audio terminal is received through the signal receiving pin or between an audio signal providing module of the electronic device and the first audio terminal when no updating information is received.

    • An expandable wireless transceiver is provided. The expandable wireless transceiver includes an antenna, a receiver, a transmitter and a switch connector. The antenna detects an electromagnetic signal in surrounding space and receives a signal with a first central frequency according to the detection result. The receiver receives the signal based on the detection result of the antenna. The transmitter outputs a radio-frequency signal. A third connection terminal of the switch connector provides a connective path to an expansion antenna. According to the coupling condition of the third connection terminal, the switch connector delivers the radio-frequency signal to its second connection terminal or third connection terminal. Thus, the radio-frequency signal with a second central frequency is transmitted to surrounding space through the antenna or the expansion antenna, wherein the second central frequency and the first central frequency are both in a specific band.
