    • An interceptor tank for primary treatment of rainwater runoff which may contain a variety of pollutants. The tank is a multi-chambered device which provides a partial separation of the pollutants contained in the effluent rainwater. A bypass system prevents overload of the tank during periods of heavy inflow conditions. Under low inlet flow conditions, an orifice in the bypass system functions to allow the effluent to drop into the first chamber which serves as a trash and debris collector. The effluent passes from the first chamber to a second chamber where free petroleum based products are separated and held. The effluent from the second chamber passes into a third chamber where sediment is separated from the effluent. The effluent from the third chamber may be fed back into the bypass conduit to be fed into a sewer system or alternately through an aperture in one of the exterior walls of the last chamber to a sewer. Under heavy inflow conditions the level of the effluent stream raises, only a portion of the effluent may enter the first chamber (as controlled by the size of the orifice), the balance of the input stream passes over the orifice and into the last chamber of the tank or directly into the sewer system (f the bypass system continues through the third chamber).

    • A capo system for incorporating the advantages of a spring loaded short cut capo and a spring loaded regular capo into one convenient spring loaded capo system, while maintaining the ability to move both both capos with one hand and improving the comfortability when squeezing the capo by incorporating padding and comfort grooves. The inventive device includes a regular spring loaded capo with top and bottom jaws and a protruding portion, a spring loaded short cut capo with top and bottom jaws and a protruding portion and a plurality of attachments that connect both spring loaded capos together. The short cut capo consists of a spring loaded capo that is altered in a way to allow the certain strings on a guitar to be remained unclamped, while the remainder of the strings are closed down. The regular spring loaded capo is a spring loaded capo that is unaltered to ensure proper closing down on all strings of a guitar. The regular capo and short cut capo are connected to each other by a plurality of attachments that provide stability and support during the simultaneous opening and closing of both capos and ensure that both capos remain at a preset fixed distance from each other. The plurality of attachments may also include elastomeric pads and grooves to increase comfortability and support when squeezing the plurality of attachments.

    • A device for detecting chemical substances includes a plurality of sensors arranged in an array. The sensors are connected to respective oscillator circuits which drive the sensors, and the oscillator circuits are coupled to a power multiplexer which provides the circuits with power according to a timing pattern such that not all of the oscillator circuits are activated at any one time. Preferably, only one oscillator circuit is activated at any given time. This multiplexing arrangement saves power and substantially eliminates cross talk between the oscillator circuits. The oscillator circuits are preferably application specific integrated circuits (ASICs), and the sensors are preferably surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices. In use, the SAW sensors are exposed to a gas, such as air, containing the chemical substance to be detected. Signals from the SAW sensors are analyzed to identify the chemical substance.

    • A clock signal generator for creating an output clock signal with fifty percent duty cycle and multiple of the input clock signal frequency allows generation of such a signal independent of input signal frequency and duty cycle. The generator utilizes an adjustable-delay oscillating feedback loop. A serial array of propagating delay elements measure the period of the input clock signal by triggering on successive input clock signal leading edges. This propagation lengthens the oscillating feedback loop until the output signal matches the desired frequency multiple. The feedback loop automatically adjusts according to a predetermined fraction of the period of the input clock signal. A fixed ratio of feedback loop delay to serial array delay ensures an output signal with a desired frequency multiple of the input signal frequency. Incorporation of an inverting logic gate in the oscillating feedback loop ensures a half-wave output clock signal having a fifty percent duty cycle.
