摘要： Disclosed are a method and a system for simultaneous direct link communications among a plurality of devices associated with a wireless network. Each associated device has a radio range, within which it can transmit information or data to other associated devices. Each device creates a list of devices that are located within its radio range, called in-range devices. Also, a list of devices that are located outside the radio range, called out-of-range devices, is created for each associated device. Based on the lists of in-range devices and out-of-range devices, the network coordinator, which is one of the wireless devices, determines two or more pairs of devices that can communicate at the same time without radio interference. The network coordinator determines maximum number of pairs in accordance with an algorithm based on a maximum matching problem.

摘要： A method and system for acknowledging the receipt of a transmitted data stream in a wireless personal area network (WPAN) are disclosed. In one embodiment, a plurality of medium access control (MAC) protocol data units (MPDUs) are transmitted from a transmitting party to a receiving party, and the receiving entity sends a delayed acknowledgment frame to the transmitting party using a bitmap field for each of the fragmented packets instead of using two bytes of an MPDU block for acknowledging each received MPDU. The bitmap field includes a plurality of bitmap values corresponding to the plurality of MPDUs, and each of the plurality of bitmap values is indicative of whether each of the MPDUs is received or not.

First and second non-emissive glass tube are joined to an emissive glass tube coated with a phosphor, and first and second electrodes are formed on outer surfaces of the first and second non-emissive glass tubes. The first and second non-emissive tubes may have the same diameter as the emissive glass tube. The first and second non-emissive glass tubes are simply joined to the emissive glass tube, thereby reducing the manufacturing process and cost. The first and second non-emissive glass tubes are formed to be thinner than the emissive glass tube, thereby enhancing the brightness and efficiency of the fluorescent lamp.
