    • In a laser device for producing a laser beam along a first predetermined direction by exciting a slab-shaped laser medium by an excitation member, a reciprocating motion is carried out along a second predetermined direction transverse to the first predetermined direction and is divided into a plurality of cycles which have different amplitudes.
