    • A protective hood is provided for protecting a wearer's head from environmental elements. The protective hood includes a hood body having a cap section positioned to fit over a top of the wearer's head, side sections positioned to hang adjacent sides of the wearer's head, and a back section positioned to hang adjacent a back of the wearer's head. The hood body includes a channel extending along at least a portion of the cap section and/or at least a portion of the side and back sections. A transparent face member is held by the hood body. An adjustable head harness assembly is held by the hood body. The adjustable head harness assembly includes an elastic member extending through the channel for securing the hood body on the wearer's head.

    • An embodiment of an access control system is disclosed herein that is easily customized by a user. A user defines cardholders, clearance levels, and logic scripts that dictate how the system will operate. User-entered changes propagate through the system automatically. The disclosed embodiment includes personality modules coupled to both field devices and a server. However, the personality modules operate autonomously from the server. Personality modules can also be added to the system dynamically and are auto-configuring. Display modules may also be included for locally and remotely programming, testing, managing, and operating personality modules and field devices. The system may include an intelligent display station that includes a reader and a display, displaying information in an interactive user interface in accordance with an individual's clearance level. Because the personality modules contain their own operating system, they can execute applications that allow direct interface to third-party systems.

    • A vibrating hammer glove having a motor housing cover with a palm portion across the top of a hammer housing includes downwardly depending flaps which wrap around the housing and fasten with a stationary fitting. Further, a securement strap is trained through slots in the flaps so that the terminating ends thereof engage in a hook and pile fastener. A cushion between the palm portion of the cover and the underside of the strap provides additional shock and vibration absorption. A securement ring midway between opposite strap ends engages the stationary fitting so that the strap and glove are properly aligned, mounted, and retained on the housing. Air vents are provided in the palm portion and in the attachment flaps, whereby heat generated within the housing is dissipated to the environment.
