摘要： Thermo-optic tuning apparatuses and techniques that may be used in external cavity lasers are provided. A wavelength selection device may be placed in the external cavity and may include a thermally responsive substrate and tunable optical elements extending therefrom. Heating and heat monitoring actuators may be formed in the substrate itself, with the tunable optical elements being mechanically positioned in the recesses of the substrate for thermo-optic tuning. In some examples, a separate optical path length adjustment element is also placed in the thermally responsive substrate, or elsewhere, for separate frequency tuning. This adjustment element may be part of a control that is detangled from the normal servo controls used in laser tuning.

摘要： The present invention is a LDO voltage regulator circuit with common-mode feedback. The LDO voltage regulator includes an error amplifier with a common-mode feedback unit, a pass device and a compensation circuit. A signal from the pass device acts as an input signal to the error amplifier and is compared with another input signal, producing a differential signal. The differential signal is amplified and then provided to the pass device. A capacitor in the compensation unit provides frequency compensation to the LDO voltage regulator. The common-mode feedback unit incorporated into the error amplifier greatly improves a slew rate of a gate voltage of the pass device.

The system operates by first generating a message or messages at a client. The system then formats these messages in a publicly available format. Next, the system communicates the messages across the public network to a web server. The web server receives the messages and transforms the messages to a database specific format. The web server then passes the messages to a queue within a database server across a proprietary network. In one embodiment of the present invention, the system includes queue-to-queue propagation with exactly once guarantees and recovery from failures. In one embodiment of the present invention, the system includes transactional guarantees when a client accesses a queue.

The electrostatic chuck has an electrostatic puck comprising a dielectric covering at least one electrode and a frontside surface to receive a substrate. A backside surface of the chuck has a central protrusion that can be a D-shaped mesa to facilitate alignment with a mating cavity in the pedestal. The protrusion can also have asymmetrically offset apertures, which further assist alignment, and also serve to receive electrode terminal posts and a gas tube. A heat transfer plate having an embedded heat transfer fluid channel is spring loaded on the pedestal to press against the chuck for good heat transfer.
