    • An electric padlock includes a lock casing, a shackle member, a latch member, and a battery cap unit. The lock casing is formed with a receiving space for receiving a battery unit, a battery access hole, and an insert groove disposed adjacent to the battery access hole. The latch member is received in the lock casing, and is movable for locking and unlocking the shackle member relative to the lock casing. The battery cap unit includes a battery cap member mounted movably on the lock casing for closing selectively the battery access hole, and a retaining member provided movably on the battery cap member to engage the insert groove when in a retaining position such that opening movement of the battery cap member can be inhibited when the shackle member is locked on the lock casing.

    • This disengageable strike has a strike annexed to a strike member that is slideably mounted to a strike base. The strike member and strike base are, in turn, mounted to a door frame or door opposite a slam latch. In a first position, the strike engages the latch to prevent the door from opening. An electrically disengageable inhibitor prevents manual movement of the sliding strike from the first position. However, when the inhibitor is disengaged, the strike can be manually moved/slid using an actuator (in the form of a handle annexed to the strike member) to a second position where it does not engage the latch to prevent the door from opening. A biasing spring biasing the strike and strike member towards the first position helps to return it to the first position after the actuator is released. Further, one portion of a sensor for a signal generator is mounted to the strike member such that it is opposite the other portion in the door or frame only when the strike is in the first position. Thus, the signal generator will indicate the door is close only when the door is closed and the strike has been returned to the first position.

    • In a tag device wherein a wire 2 has a base end 21 fixed to a tag body 10 and a forward end 23 connected to the tag body 10 as releasably locked thereto, the wire 2 is provided at its forward end 23 with a lock pin 22. The tag body 10 comprises a case 1 having a pin insertion hole 13, and a latch member 3 engageable with the lock pin 22. The latch member 3 comprises a main body 31 supported inside the case 1 and a spring piece 32 provided on the main body 31. The latch member 3 prevents the thick rod portion 26 from slipping off when moved in one direction to a limit position, and allows the thick rod portion 26 to slip off when moved in the other direction to a limit position.

    • A cam assembly may be constructed with cylinder plug perforated by a centrally positioned keyway, and having an exposed circumferential surface surrounding the keyway rotatably fitted within a centrally positioned keyhole of a housing, and rotated within the centrally positioned keyhole in response to rotational force applied by a key conformingly corresponding to the cylinder plug through an arc. A cam mounted either coaxially with the cylinder plug, or radially offset from the cylinder plug, is positioned within the housing to rotate with the cylinder plug as the key conformingly corresponding to the lock manually applies a rotational force to the cylinder plug rotates through the arc, while a member attached to the cam and eccentrically positioned relative to the keyway, drives the bolt between extended and retracted positions as the cylinder plug rotates through the arc. An electronic circuit containing a memory and a microprocessor, is mounted upon and supported by the cam to rotate with the cam through the arc. The electronic circuit operationally responds to digital data carried by the key that is in electronic conformance to data stored within the memory, by electrically energizing a release mechanism that is spaced-apart from the axis of rotation of the cylinder plug, to move between a deployed position preventing rotation of the cam relative to the housing, and a released position accommodating the rotation of the cam relative to the housing.
