摘要： Reinforcement element made of a composite material constituted of a layer of inextensible textile material and a layer of polymeric material assembled to the layer of textile material during a molding or vulcanizing step. The textile material is a woven or mesh material, and the textile material is a polyester, polyamide, polypropylene or glass fiber based material. The polymeric material can be a thermosetting material, such as rubber or silicone, or an injected thermoplastic, such as polyurethane, polyvinyl chloride, or polypropylene. Advantageously, the polymeric material is at least partially transparent. The composite material can be incorporated in a boot or a binding using tightening straps. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such reinforcement element.

摘要： A sport boot is provided that is suitable for, but not limited to, use as a snowboard boot. The sport boot includes an outer shell and an inner liner received within the outer shell. The outer shell includes an outsole and a protective upper affixed to the outsole. The inner liner includes a cushioning midsole and a flexible upper affixed to the midsole. Unlike conventional sport boots that place the midsole between an insole board and a shank on the outer shell, the present invention incorporates the midsole onto the inner liner directly under a rider's foot to provide a level and more stable platform. With the midsole built into the inner liner, there is an improved relationship between the horizontal plane a rider's foot lies in and the horizontal plane of the midsole. When attached in this manner, a rider's foot and the midsole more effectively remain in parallel planes, which improves the overall comfort and performance of sport boot.

摘要： A skate boot is described in which a one-piece plastic ankle and heel counter insert is employed, positioned between the various layers which make up the skate boot. In sequence from outside to inside, the boot includes a conventional outer, the one-piece plastic insert, suitable cushioning, and a lining. The insert has a heel counter portion which is generally U-shaped and which cups around the heel area from along the lateral side, across the heel, and along the medial side, and an integral ankle portion which extends upwardly from the heel area of the heel counter portion and which includes forwardly projecting wing portions which cup around the ankle area from over the area of the lateral malleolus, across the rear and over the area of the medial malleolus. Preferably, the plastic insert extends up most of the height of the back of the boot, and includes lateral and medial cuff portions which extend partially forward along the sides of the skater's upper ankle. The one-piece plastic insert provides improved performance and rigidity over conventional separate inserts, while avoiding the tendency of the ankle portion of the skate boot to slump down onto the heel portion with time.

摘要： This lining consists of an assembly of flexible panels assembled to constitute a kind of slipper having two lateral pockets opening to the rear for introducing a one-piece padding into the pockets, this padding extending to the rear on either side of the lining. The two lateral pockets extend on both sides in the front portion of the lining and comprise at the rear a substantially vertical opening. Furthermore, the lining comprises an outer one-piece sheathing covering the lower rear portion of the upper, the heel and the lateral portions at the rear of the two front lateral pockets. This sheathing is fastened permanently to the upper along its upper edge and detachably, at least through its vertical edges, to the other portions of the lining, so as to cover the edges of the openings of the two front lateral pockets. The one-piece padding is detachably housed under the sheathing and in the lateral pockets.
