    • The present invention provides a method and apparatus of synchronizing AAL2 path states between ATM adaptation layer type 2 (AAL2) signaling nodes, wherein a AAL2 signaling node as a synchronization requesting end sends a path state request message to a peer AAL2 signaling node of an AAL2 path, the peer AAL2 signaling node performs local check on the state of the AAL2 path designated by the request message after receiving the request message, and the peer AAL2 signaling node controls consistency synchronization processing on the AAL2 path states at two ends based on the result of the check. The present invention may avoid initial call failure incurred by inconsistency between states at two ends of an AAL2 path and improves success ratio of AAL2 path establishment.

    • A disk drive has an actuator coil that includes first and second lateral legs joined by first and second longitudinal legs to form a closed coil periphery.     • A method of making a new type of biomaterials, biodegrable crosslinked urethane-containing polyester (CUPE) elastomers and a scaffold-sheet engineering method for tissue engineering applications is provided. CUPEs can be synthesized by forming a linear pre-polymer, which is a polyester, introducing the urethane bonds into polyester using a diisocyanate as a linker, and crosslinking the resulting urethane containing linear polymers to form CUPEs via post-polymerization. This family of polymers, CUPEs, exhibit excellent biocompatibility with desired degradation. Tissue engineering scaffolds made of CUPEs are soft and elastic, and have good mechanical strength. Complex tissue grafts can be constructed by a novel layer-by-layer (LBL) scaffold-sheet engineering design using CUPE sheets. CUPE scaffolds can provide openings for cell to cell communication across scaffold layers and angiogenesis into the depth of the construct. Biomolecules, such as anticoagulants, can be incorporated into the CUPE polymers, increasing their viability as vascular graft scaffolds.

    • The present disclosure relates to a method to produce an image of a subsurface formation using directional measurements. A downhole logging tool having one or more transmitters and one or more receivers, and being capable of making directional measurements, is used to measure the voltage in a particular receiver due to a particular transmitter for one or more transmitter/receiver pairs, at least one of those voltage measurements being a directional measurement. The complex (phasor) voltage recorded on a receiver coil is divided by the complex voltage recorded at another reference receiver coil. Alternatively, we can use the ratio of a receiver voltage at a particular rotation angle of the tool divided by the voltage on the same receiver when the tool has rotated by an angle of 180 degrees. The information in those ratios is combined to produce images of the resistivity of the subsurface formation surrounding the tool.
