摘要： In a machine tool such as a machining center or the like having an automatic tool changing apparatus, the tool holders adapted to respectively hold the tools provided for the automatic tool change are equipped with transmitters for transmitting signals indicative of tool data including the tool discrimination data of the tools. The receiver which receives the transmitted signals from the transmitters is attached to the machine tool. When a transmitter approaches the receiver, the transmitted data is received by the receiver. The kind and other data concerning the tool stored in the tool holder to which a transmitter is attached can be discriminated by the control unit of the machine tool on the basis of the received data.

摘要： A tool monitoring system for detecting a tool failure of a tool employed in a tool machine, comprising artificial signal generating unit for generating a predetermined artificial tool failure signal simulating the acoustic emission signal obtained in an actual failure of the tool, acoustic emission transducing unit adapted to be mounted on the tool machine near the tool and driven by the artificial signal generating unit for applying the artificial tool failure signal to the tool machine, acoustic emission sensing unit mounted on the tool machine near the tool so as to receive, in a setting mode of the system where the transducing unit is mounted on the machine, the applied artificial tool failure signal from the acoustic emission transducing unit through the tool machine and, in a monitoring mode of the system where the tool is operated, an acoustic emission from the tool, and signal processing unit for analyzing an output signal generated from the acoustic emission sensing unit to detect the tool failure of the tool.

摘要： The raw material in a raw material feeding apparatus of a melting cast installation is supplied, through a guide cylinder vertically mounted inside a furnace wall, towards a melting pot of a casting apparatus. A plurality of plasma arc torches, for heating the raw material, are positioned on the upper rotatable half of said furnace wall and are radially arranged around the axis of said guide cylinder with front ends thereof directed individually towards said melting pot. The raw material feeding apparatus may consist of a rotatable cylindrical drum laid substantially horizontally and a helical compartment wall to define a raw material path inside said cylindrical drum. A cylindrical limiter may be vertically mounted, inside said guide cylinder, for vertical movement so as to form an adjustable annular path for raw material between said limiter and the internal surface of said guide cylinder. An ignition piece, common for all the plasma torches, may be provided for retreat from an igniting position into a receptacle.

摘要： A cooling system includes a cooling circuit that has a circulation pump circulating a coolant containing antifreeze solution and cools down, by means of the coolant, a power element mounted in a power converter for an on-vehicle rotary electric machine; a control signal calculation unit that calculates heat quantity generated by the power element; a power element temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the power element; and a coolant temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the coolant. The control signal calculation unit calculates, on the basis of the heat quantity, the temperature of the power element, and the coolant temperature, power element cooling performance that is the amount of heat transferred from the power element to the coolant per unit temperature difference, and lowers the driving power of the circulation pump when the calculated power element cooling performance is greater than a predetermined criterion.
