    • An anchor system and method of use for securement to a fixed anchor point at an elevated position on a structure. The system comprises a rope arranged to be extended between the elevated position and a lower position, and slidable connection device. The connection device is arranged to be releasably secured to the fixed anchor point and comprises a flexible tubular member woven of strands of fibers. The tubular member has a pair of ends, each of which includes an extension projecting therefrom. Each extension is bent back over itself and inserted into the tubular member to form a loop. A connector is mounted on one of the loops and is arranged to be releasably secured to the fixed anchor. The rope extends through the tubular member, with the tubular member having a sufficiently large internal diameter that the rope may slide therethrough. The tubular member is arranged to be contracted radially inward upon the application of a pulling force to each of its ends, whereupon the internal diameter is reduced so that the rope is tightly frictionally engaged to preclude it from sliding therethrough.

    • A safety system comprising a seat board assembly and an associated harness to be worn by a person located at an elevated position for releasable securement to a holding device to protect the person from falling. The harness is formed of interconnected webs of flexible, e.g., nylon, material. The seat board assembly includes a generally planar panel which is arranged to be releasably secured to the harness for supporting the person's buttocks thereon so that he or she may move about relatively unencumbered by the system. The system also includes a pair of extendable, flexible, repelling straps for connection to a lowering device mounting on an adjacent safety line to enable the person to repel down the line. The seat board panel has a pair of flexible connecting straps projecting from opposed sides thereof for releasable securment, e.g., via VELCRO fasteners, to respective buckles on the harness to suspend the seat board panel below the harness.

    • A system for dispensing simultaneously into a single receptacle milk from different sources in a milk dispensing cabinet. The cabinet comprises two adjacent compartments for different milk containers. Each container has a flexible outlet tube for the milk contained therein. The cabinet has a milk dispenser outlet controller comprising a channel defined by walls, which channel is normally vertically oriented and through which channel the outlet tubes from each milk container pass. The tubes are positioned a similar distance with respect to one of the walls of the channel. A pinch valve, having a surface parallel to that wall, is positioned on the opposite side of the tubes with respect to that wall. Its surface is movable in parallel fashion with respect to the wall to permit simultaneous opening or closing of the flow of milk through the tubes. When one of the milk container contains reconstituted powdered skim milk, the combined milk mixture dispensed into a glass by the system according to the present invention provides an economical, palatable milk substitute which can afford considerable savings for institutions.

    • A rescue device for use in combination with a hollow basket used to support a workman. The hollow basket includes a floor and an upwardly projecting peripheral sidewall. The upper edge of the sidewall forms an open mouth for the basket to enable a workman to stand within the basket. The rescue device is arranged to raise the workman out of the basket in the event that the workman becomes incapacitated and comprises an inflatable bag having a top and bottom surface, a rigid plate mounted on the top surface and a flexible tube connected to and communicating with the bag. The bag is disposed in the basket so that its bottom surface is on the floor. The plate encompasses the full area of the floor of the basket. The tube extends upward along the sidewall of the basket so that its free end is located adjacent the mouth of the basket for connection to a supply of gas for inflating the bag to cause the plate to move upward toward the mouth of the basket, thereby raising the workman.
