    • A reflectance increasing type optical information recording medium in which the crosstalk is inhibited in the land and groove recording. This optical information recording medium comprises a substrate having a groove and a land provided between adjacent grooves and a recording layer that is provided on the substrate and that changes the reflectance by irradiation with light beams. In this recording medium, the reflectance after recording is greater than the reflectance before recording. Moreover, the depth D of the groove is set to be in the range of &lgr;/8n to 3&lgr;/8n, where the wavelength of the light beam is &lgr; and the refractive index of the substrate is n. And the difference, &Dgr;&phgr;=&phgr;1−&phgr;0, between the phase &phgr;1 of the reflected light after recording and the phase &phgr;0 of the reflected light before recording is in the range of (−0.1+2 m) &pgr; to (0.1+2 m) &pgr;, where m is an integer.

    • An optical information recording method in which a digital signal subjected to pulse width modulation is overwritten, by using one laser spot, on an optical disk including a first dielectric film, a recording film, a second dielectric film and a reflecting film stacked on a substrate in this order; the recording film having composition defined by a formula Ge.sub.x Sb.sub.y Te.sub.z satisfying 45.ltoreq.z.ltoreq.55.5, 0.5.ltoreq.y/(x+y).ltoreq.0.72 and x+y+z=100; the recording film having a thickness of 10 to 35 nm; the second dielectric film having a thickness of 5 to 40 nm; the reflecting film having a thickness of 35 nm or more; the optical information recording method comprising the steps of: converting each of a plurality of pulses contained in the digital signal, into a pulse train composed of pulses; and modulating a laser power between an erasing level and a recording level so as to overwrite the digital signal on the optical disk.
