    • In one embodiment, a radio communication system comprises a removable antenna platform and an antenna interface bulkhead connected to a roof of a locomotive. The antenna platform includes a blind mate connector connected to an antenna mount. The antenna mount is connected to a ground plane. The antenna interface bulkhead includes a blind mate connector configured to mate with the blind mate connector of the antenna platform when the antenna platform is attached to the antenna interface bulkhead. The antenna interface bulkhead is configured to attach to the antenna platform in one orientation. Thus, one or more antennas may be quickly attached to or removed from the roof of the locomotive reducing maintenance time for the locomotive when an antenna upgrade may be desired.

    • A multi-service antenna may comprise: a support structure, a reflector mounted to the support structure, a signal processing assembly mounted with the support structure, a first wire strung between the reflector and the support structure and/or the signal processing assembly, and circuitry for processing a first signal received as a result of electromagnetic radiation (e.g., terrestrial television and/or cellular signals) incident on the first wire. The circuitry for processing the first signal may be housed in the signal processing assembly. A second wire may also be strung between the reflector and the support structure and/or the signal processing assembly, and the circuitry may be operable to perform diversity processing of signals received via the two wires.

    • Disclosed herein is a portable antenna window bracket that securely supports a satellite dish or other over the air type antenna outside a window without the need to drill into or make permanent physical attachment to the window or structure surrounding the window. The portable antenna bracket allows an antenna mounted thereon to be positioned beneath the window, thereby maintaining a clear and unobstructed view through the window. An extender is provided with an antenna receiver and a bridge on distal and proximal ends of the extender, respectively, as well as an interior support of the bridge positioned opposite the extender. An extender support is also provided with first and second edges, with the second edge adapted to abut a surface beneath the window, to support antenna weight and stabilize the antenna bracket.

    • A system for transferring power and/or data through a skin of a vehicle includes a first module for disposition on an external surface of the vehicle, a first magnet arrangement attached to the first module, a second module for disposition on an internal surface of the vehicle, and a second magnet arrangement attached to the second module. The first magnet arrangement and the second magnet arrangement are selected to provide sufficient magnetic attraction therebetween to maintain the first module at a fixed position on the external surface of the vehicle by overcoming an air load force when the vehicle is in motion. When the first module and the second module are in registration with each other though the non-ferrous skin, at least one inductive coupling circuit through the non-ferrous skin is formed to provide one or more bidirectional paths therebetween for transfer of data signals, electrical power or both.

    • A vibration and shock isolation mount for a mobile satellite antenna system securable to a transport vehicle such as a truck or boat. The isolation mount includes three isolators attachable between the mobile satellite antenna system and the transport vehicle. The three isolators are spaced substantially evenly about the central axis of the antenna system. Each isolator has a central spring element extending along a first axis between two block members wherein the spring element permits the two block members to move in virtually all direction relative to each other including toward and away from each other along the first axis of the spring element. Each isolator further includes two attaching members for respectively securing the two block members to the mobile satellite antenna system and the transport vehicle. The first axes of the spring elements are aligned to substantially intersect each other and the central axis of the mobile satellite antenna system within a protective, covering dome of the antenna system. The isolators are preferably positioned outside of the domed antenna system so that the domed antenna system itself can be as compact as possible to minimize its overall size and weight.
