摘要： The present invention relates to a process for the manufacture of short or discontinuous lignocellulosic fiber in combination with synthetic fiber filled thermoplastic composites, in which the process consists of preferably, defiberization and dispersion of the cellulosic fibers in the thermoplastic matrix, further consolidation and dispersion of the blended thermoplastic composition, further blending of the same with inorganic fibers to get the moldable thermoplastic composition and further injection or compression or compression injection molded under high pressure ranging from 100 tones to 1000 tones and a temperature range from 170 to 210 degree centigrade into composite products. The said composites have a tensile strength of at least 75 MPa and a flexural strength of at least 125 MPa. The invention also relates to the use of the said composites in automotive, aerospace, furniture and other structural applications.

Such garments are particularly useful for occupations requiring high thermal properties and abrasion resistance, such as fire fighters, utility workers, and military personnel, without compromising comfort of the wearers by maintaining breathability and moisture management properties of the fabric.

摘要： The durability of a frictional power transmission belt is improved. A V-ribbed belt (10) comprises an adhesion rubber portion (12) and a compression rubber portion (14) provided below the adhesion rubber portion (12). A cord (11) that is a tension member of the belt is embedded in the adhesion rubber portion (12). The adhesion rubber portion (12) includes an upper layer (12A) constituting the upper side and a lower layer (12B) constituting the lower side, which are located across the cord (11). The upper layer (12A) and the lower layer (12B) are obtained by vulcanizing a rubber composition including a high-viscosity elastomer such as EPM or EPDM, and a low-viscosity elastomer which is lower in Mooney viscosity than the high-viscosity elastomer, and contain modified nylon microfibers as short fibers (21A), (21B), respectively. The short fibers (21A), (21B) are oriented, respectively, in the width direction and longitudinal direction of the belt.

摘要： This invention includes malleable, biodegradable, fibrous compositions for application to a tissue site in order to promote or facilitate new tissue growth. One aspect of this invention is a fibrous component that provides unique mechanical and physical properties. The invention may be created by providing a vessel containing a slurry, said slurry comprising a plurality of natural or synthetic polymer fibers and at least one suspension fluid, wherein the polymer fibers are substantially evenly dispersed and randomly oriented throughout the volume of the suspension fluid; applying a force, e.g., centrifugal, to said vessel containing said slurry, whereupon said force serves to cause said polymer fibers to migrate through the suspension fluid and amass at a furthest extent of the vessel, forming a polymer material, with said polymer material comprising polymer fibers of sufficient length and sufficiently viscous, interlaced, or interlocked to retard dissociation of said polymer fibers.

摘要： A method is provided for forming a fire resistant cellulose product. A fire-retarding solution and a bonding agent are combined with refined cellulose fibers to form a fiber mixture, and the fire-retarding solution and bonding agent are substantially uniformly distributed with respect to the cellulose fibers within the fiber mixture. The fiber mixture is exposed to an actuating element, wherein the actuating element is configured to actuate the bonding agent so as to facilitate cohesion of the cellulose fibers and form the fiber mixture into a fiber board member, the fiber board member having opposing major surfaces. A cellulose sheet member is engaged with each major surface of the fiber board member, such that each cellulose sheet member substantially covers the respective major surface. An associated apparatus is also provided.
