    • A time-out seat for a child is provided which comprises a seat member configured and dimensioned to accept a child in a sitting position; a structure which supports the seat member in an orientation for sitting and at a predetermined height. A timer is provided for timing a preset time-out period. The timer includes the capabilities of setting a predetermined time-out period, indicating the time remaining in the time-out period, and signaling the end of the time-out period. The timer is supported in a position where a child sitting in the seat can observe the indication of the time remaining in the time-out period. A method of disciplining a child using the time-out seat is also contemplated by the present invention.

    • An electronic organizer assembly for attaches removably to a host book wherein said host book has a spine, a plurality of leaves or pages, and a plurality of ring members arranged along said spine for loosely retaining the leaves. The electronic organizer assembly has a body portion and a removable insert for removably attaching to the ring members of said host book. The insert has a flange for removably engaging the ring members, and an elongated slide engaging member, e.g., a rod, that extends along the flange. The electronic organizer body has a work panel on a front face; and first and second slotted channels formed at longitudinal side edges of the rectangular body. The channels are profiled to match the slide engaging member. The electronic organizer can be changed over from a right-side to a left-side orientation by sliding the body longitudinally along said insert until the latter slides out of engagement with the first slide portion, flipping the body over to engage the second channel with the slide engaging member, and then sliding the body down until the body is fully engaged with said insert. In one preferred version the insert has a slide engaging portion of stepped profile. An electronic organizer can be joined by a hinge member to a notepad work platform of similar dimensions to the electronic organizer. The hinge member has slide engaging parts that slide into side channels of the electronic organizer and the work platform.

    • A switch for use in a flashlight assembly including a tubular body for containing or receiving a power source such as at least one battery. A light assembly including a light source coupled to one end of the body, and a switch assembly closing an opposite end of the body and moveable about a longitudinal axis of the body between at least a first position for placing the light source in electrical continuity with the power source and a second position breaking the electrical continuity between the light source and the power source. The switch includes a tubular housing detachably received in the opposite end of the body and having a detent extending inwardly from an inner surface thereof. The housing concentrically receives a neck portion of an end cap which closes the housing and forms one end of the flashlight. A pair of grooves, one on each side of a cantilevered spring in the neck portion, accepts the detent extending from the housing. The grooves and spring define first and second positions for the switch. The neck portion also contains a concentric hole which receives a contact assembly for making electrical continuity between the power source in the body and the open terminal of the light source. The contact assembly is retained within the neck portion, and the end cap is retained within the housing by a retaining member snapped into the concentric hole of the end cap neck. The retaining member includes a flange which prevents withdrawal of the end cap while permitting rotation between the first and second position.

    • A system and method for mounting a badge to a component of a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a mounting base including first and second fastening apertures defined therein, and a trim ring coupled with the mounting base having an opening defined therein. The badge is adapted to be securely mounted between the trim ring and the mounting base so that the badge is positioned within the opening in the trim ring. The system further includes a flexible fastening member that is configured to be positioned within the first and second fastening apertures, positioned around at least a portion of the component of the vehicle, and between the mounting base and the badge to fasten the badge to the vehicle.

    • A battery package comprises a rear member, a front member pivotally connected to the rear member and batteries. The package has an open and a closed position. At least one of the front member and the rear member include support structure for supporting the batteries in the interior space. The rear member includes a foot allowing the battery package to stand substantially upright on a horizontal surface. The front member and the rear member include aligned openings for allowing the package to be hung on a rod. Therefore, the package can alternatively be positioned on the horizontal surface and be hung on a rod by extending the rod through the aligned openings for display purposes. The package can also include a resealable closure allowing the front member and the rear member to be maintained in the closed position.
