The present invention provides a flat panel display having fewer heat radiating fans to secure a channel for causing a heat radiating air to flow.     • The invention is directed to providing a resistor with high reliability. The invention is also directed to miniaturizing a semiconductor device having a MOS transistor and a resistor element on the same semiconductor substrate. An N-type well region is formed in a front surface of a P-type semiconductor substrate, and a P−-type resistor layer is formed in a front surface of the well region. A conductive layer is annularly formed on the well region so as to surround the resistor layer. A predetermined voltage is applied to the conductive layer and a channel is not formed under the conductive layer during normal operation, thereby isolating a pull-down resistor from the other elements (e.g. a P-channel type MOS transistor). The resistor layer and an element isolation insulation film do not contact each other. Both the PMOS and the pull-down resistor are formed in one region surrounded by the element isolation insulation film.

The semiconductor further includes a controller configured to control output timing of the rule signal to the control line of a first-stage one of the computing units in the pipeline and to control output timing of the data to the data line of the first-stage computing unit in the first cycle, so that the plurality of computing units are operated as a pipeline.

    • A fuel injector for an internal combustion engine is provided. The fuel injector has a simple structure so that it is easy to install and remove a piezoelectric valve actuator in and from the fuel injector, and to adjust fuel injection characteristics finely which allows the overall size of the fuel injector to be decreased. The fuel injector includes a housing to be installed in the engine and a structural element serving to install the piezoelectric valve actuator in the housing to be detachable easily. The piezoelectric valve actuator is retained in an actuator casing fitted in the housing so that it can expand or contract to move a needle valve. The actuator casing has an extensible portion in itself or is coupled to a bellows in alignment for enabling the piezoelectric valve actuator to expand, thereby allowing the size of the actuator casing to be minimized.
