    • A safety system for preventing crane operator injury. Two ergonomic tracks are attached on either side of the working crane. A fall transmitter is used whenever a crane operator is not on the floor. The fall transmitter has speed and travel distance governors that limit the speed and travel of certain aspects of the crane. In a further embodiment, a second fall transmitter is utilized by the second crane operator to assure that both operators are aware of and agree to any crane movement prior to commencing such movement.

    • A human powered movement apparatus for moving a wheeled structure or scaffold. The human powered movement apparatus having a horizontal lever bar operable by a person working on a platform of the scaffold. The horizontal lever bar is connected, by way of a shaft, to a wheel frame with a set of unidirectional wheels. When the operator moves the horizontal lever bar in one direction, the wheel frame pivots about one of the unidirectional wheels while the other unidirectional wheel rolls freely causing the scaffold to advance in an arc. Movement of the horizontal lever bar in the opposite direction results in a similar movement with the behavior of the unidirectional wheels reversed. Repeated movement of the horizontal lever bar results in forward movement of the scaffold through a cambering motion.

    • A scaffolding structure for mounting to a supporting structure such as a bridge includes a track fixable to the supporting structure, and a frame. The frame and track are movable relative to one another, and the frame is also movable relative to the supporting structure between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the track supports the frame, and the track is supported by the supporting structure, so that when the track is fixed to the supporting structure, the frame can advance along the track and therefore along the supporting structure. In the second position, the frame is supported by the supporting structure and the track is supported by the frame, so that the track can advance along the supporting structure. By alternately advancing the frame and the track, the scaffolding structure can advance along the entire length of the supporting structure.

    • A deck support may be created to hang from a top plate of a wall in residential or other construction. An upright or leg may provide support of the weight of the deck supported on a foot extending laterally from the leg. The foot may be provided with a climber attachment that secures the foot extending horizontally from the leg, and yet is readily adjustable without alignment, line-of-sight adjustment, removal or repositioning of pins, and the like. The apparatus may operate to support a user installing soffits, fascia, trusses and other assemblies near the upper portions of walls at any stage of construction. Adjustment may be done safely by a single user employing a single hand. Alignment and engagement are simple and automatic by the climber securing the foot to the leg. A hanger bracket may extend adjustably across the top plate of a wall to support the leg extending vertically therebelow. The hanger may be opened to release from a wall after construction has been finished around the hanger rendering it otherwise non-removable. The entire assembly may be collapsed, without separation of parts, for transportation and storage.

    • A work platform assembly and trailer system for transporting and vertically positioning the work platform assembly adjacent bridge deck surfaces to be treated. The trailer includes front and rear lifting assemblies for supporting, and being removably attached to, an end of the work platform assembly. The lifting assemblies include vertically oriented lifting cylinders for vertically positioning the work platform assembly immediately adjacent the bridge deck surfaces to be treated. The trailer includes wheels and a hitch to facilitate the transport of the work platform assembly to the site of the bridge deck. The work platform assembly is modular in construction so as to be configurable according to the configuration and size, particularly width, requirements of each bridge and to metal surfaces thereof which are to be reconditioned by abrasive stripping and recoating. An adjustable curtain frame and/or other devices enable sealed enclosure of bridge surfaces to be treated and optimum access of workers to those surfaces during the treatment. Airborne residue is evacuated by vacuum into a dust collection system for subsequent disposal in a manner which does not contaminate the environment, while heavier residue and spent abrasive grit is collected and positively moved off of the platform assembly into a residue separation system for subsequent, environmentally safe separation and reconstitution of the grit for reuse. The dust collection and residue separation systems may be removably attached to the trailer.
