摘要： Water from underground and other sources is brackish and not suitable for human consumption. Naturally present dissolved chemicals in water make it brackish. The precipitants and dissolved chemicals need to be separated from water to make it consumable. A combination of aeration systems, filtration systems, crystallizers and hydrophobic membrane carrying filter are used to desalinate the brackish water. Pressure retarded osmosis process using an apparatus is also used to further purify water. Various heat exchange apparatus are used for energy conservation and efficient processing of water in a feasible way. The disclosure enables to purify water and provide a useful technology to eradicate water scarcity.

The tooth-like or pinnacle-like projections have extensions extending from the sides of the projections and extending to the adjacent tooth-like or pinnacle-like projection.

摘要： A reverse osmosis system and method for operating the same includes a fluid reservoir, a valve and a brine feed tank in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir through an input. The brine feed tank has brine feed fluid therein. The system also includes a high pressure pump and a pressure vessel in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir through the high pressure pump. The pressure vessel comprises a permeate outlet. The brine feed tank is in fluid communication with the pressure vessel. During a permeate production cycle, the high pressure pump pumps additional fluid under high pressure from the fluid reservoir into the pressure vessel using a high pressure pump. The pressure vessel communicates brine fluid into the brine feed tank. The high pressure pump raises a pressure in the pressure vessel until an amount of permeate is produced from a permeate output of the pressure vessel.

Such devices generally comprise a fluid membrane that separates two or more fluids flowing through plural microchannels operatively associated with the membrane. 摘要： An object of the present invention is to provide a composite membrane support composed of a dry process thermoplastic resin filaments nonwoven fabric having a significantly high uniformity to enable formation of a porous layer free from strike-through or a defect such as pinhole at the film formation, producing no skin layer defect at the formation of a skin layer, and being excellent in the mechanical strength and dimensional stability at high temperatures, and a high-performance composite membrane and a composite membrane element each using the composite membrane support. The composite membrane support of the present invention is a laminate dry process thermoplastic resin filaments nonwoven fabric comprising three or more layers containing at least a meltblown fiber layer as an interlayer and spunbond fiber layers on both sides of the interlayer, wherein the average value of air flow resistance is from 2.0 to 30.0 kPa·s/m and the ratio between the average value and the standard deviation of air flow resistance is 0.6 or less.
