摘要： Liquid laundry detergent compositions provide good detergency for the cleaning of garments and textiles, as well as further providing a germicidal action to textile fabrics in a domestic laundering process. There is provided an aqueous, germicidal liquid detergent composition comprising:A) a major anionic surfactant constituent selected from alkylethercarboxylates and alkylethersulfonates;B) a cationic germicidal surfactant;C) a nonionic surfactant preferably selected from alcoholalkoxylates, akylphenol alkoxylates, alkylpolyglycosides, amine oxides and alkanolomides, wherein the value of the cationic surfactant to the major anionic surfactant is 1:2 or greater; and,D) a compatible optical brightener constituent.Further conventional additives may be included as optional constituents.

摘要： A powdered laundry detergent is provided with discrete whitening agent particles that do not adversely affect the bulk appearance of the detergent during storage. The detergent includes from about 5% to about 80% of an inorganic carrier, from about 1% to about 90% of a detergent surfactant, and from 0.1% up to about 30% of the discrete whitening agent particles. The whitening agent particles include a whitening agent and a surfactant. The surfactant for the whitening agent particle includes those anionics, nonionics, zwitterionics, ampholytics, cationics, and mixtures thereof that are solids in a temperature range of from about 32.degree. F. (0.degree. C.) to about 180.degree. F. (82.degree. C.). The whitening agent particles, in a more desirably form, include a whitener and water. The particles are formed by extruding a homogenous mass into discrete particles. The homogenous mass includes either a whitening agent, a surfactant, and optionally a plasticizer or a whitening agent and water.

C., or a liquid at a temperature of less than about 40.degree. C.; and wherein said sunscreen compound absorbs light at a wavelength of from about 290 nm to about 450 nm and is a solid compound having a melting point of from about 25.degree. C. to about 90.degree. C., or a viscous liquid at a temperature of less than about 40.degree. C.

The storage stability of such compositions is improved by the presence of silicate. For example, the tendency of stilbene-type brighteners to form undesirable yellow shades in the presence of percarbonate is diminished by the corporation of silicate materials into the granules.

摘要： Bleaching compositions are provided that comprise a nitrile containing compound that has the nitrile bonded to a quaternary nitrogen through a methylene unit (where one or both of the normal hydrogens can be substituted), and two of the quaternary nitrogen bonds are part of a saturated ring. This saturated ring contains from two to eight atoms in addition to the quaternary nitrogen. A source of active oxygen will react with the nitrile for bleaching applications. Particularly preferred nitrile containing compounds are N-alkyl morpholinium acetonitrile salts.
