    • A light source system for stereoscopic image is disclosed, which includes a first multiband filter, a second multiband filter, a first relay lens assembly, a second relay lens assembly, a light source module, a light outputting portion and a light valve device. The first and the second relay lens assemblies are disposed between the first multiband filter and the second multiband filter. The light source module and the first multiband filter are together disposed at one side of the first relay lens assembly. The light outputting portion and the second multiband filter are together disposed at one side of the second relay lens assembly. The light valve device is disposed between the first and the second relay lens assemblies. Therefore, the light source system configures the light path by controlling the light valve device and produces beams with different bands.

    • Methods and systems are described herein which produce polarization-independent full color images suitable for rear-projection television sets and other multimedia displays. The system uses illumination with R, G, B light from two different light sources for each color. A viewer wears glasses with narrowband optical filters, preferably holographic filters. The R, G, B light from the light sources is slightly offset at each of the 3 emission wavelengths, with one set of R, G, B light being filtered by the holographic filter in front of the left eye of the, and the other set of R, G, B light being filtered by the holographic filter in front of the viewer's right eye.

    • A three-dimensional viewing system includes a television having an electric circuit provided therein for the generation of alternating left-eye image and right-eye image on a screen, a micro controller unit provided inside the television and configured to extract a vertical synchronizing signal therefrom, a signal transmitting system for directly transmitting the vertical synchronizing signal to a pair of three-dimensional shutter glasses to be worn by the viewer in front of the television. The shutter glasses include left and right liquid crystal shutter lenses adapted to receive the vertical synchronizing signal and produce alternating transparency and opacity of the left and right shutter lenses. A switch unit connected to the left and right shutter lenses for independently switching the transparency and opacity thereof so that left eye of the viewer sees the left-eye image and right eye of the viewer sees the right-eye image to perceive a three-dimensional image.
