摘要： A method of treating marine or river dredging sediments, especially harbour zone sediments, whose free water content is between 40% and 80% by weight, for the purpose of obtaining a solid material which is easy to handle, includes the following successive steps: mixing the sediments with a treatment composition including a sulphoaluminate binder and at least one other component selected from a sulphate source and a catalyst of the hydration reactions of the sulphoaluminate binder; a step of setting of the mixture, leading to a compact mixture having a free water content of less than 20% by weight; then fractionating the compact mixture. The sediment thus treated may be incorporated into concrete or mortar formulas, which then have leachable fractions of less than 1% by weight.

摘要： A premixed material is obtained by tempering a castable refractory powder composition comprising refractory aggregate, fine refractory powder, alumina cement, a dispersing agent and an alumina cement hydration stopper with water. The hydration stopper is acidic in a state of an aqueous solution. The amount of the hydration stopper is controlled such that the premixed material has a pH of 2 to 7. Immediately after adding and mixing an alumina cement hydration starter to the premixed material, the resultant mixture is cast into a mold. The addition of the hydration starter can be carried out 5 days or more after the production of the premixed material.

摘要： Shaped, preferably porous, inorganic bodies are provided which are prepared from a reactive blend. In accordance with one preferred embodiment, the solution is absorbed into a porous sacrificial substrate such as a cellulose sponge. The solution-saturated substrate is heated and an oxidation-reduction reaction occurs thereby forming an inorganic solid. A shaped, inorganic body is formed in situ. Optional, but preferred additional thermal treatment of the shaped, inorganic body removes the organic substrate, leaving an inorganic body that faithfully mimics the porosity, shape, and other physical characteristics of the organic substrate. Inorganic substrates may also be used to good effect. Large varieties of shaped bodies can be prepared in accordance with other embodiments of the invention and such shapes find wide use in surgery, laboratory and industrial processes and otherwise. The invention also provides chemically and morphologically uniform powders, including those having uniformly small sizes.

摘要： Rapid repair and retrofit of existing infrastructures demand durable high early strength materials that not only deliver sufficient strength within a few hours of placement but also significantly prolong the maintenance interval. The invention comprises a class of newly developed polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber-reinforced high early strength engineered cementitious composites (ECC) materials featuring extraordinary ductility. The tailoring of preexisting flaw size distribution through non-matrix interactive crack initiators in the composite matrix results in high tensile ductility. The resulting high early strength ECC materials are capable of delivering a compressive strength of 21 MPa (3.0 ksi) within 4 hours after placement and retaining long-term tensile strain capacity above 2%.
