    • A connecting structure for high frequency circuits is provided, with which components can be readily replaced, and which does not require high assembly accuracy and is applicable in a broad band. First and second circuit boards each having strip lines on top surfaces thereof are placed to secure a gap therebetween. Patch portions each constituting a resonator are formed by extending the width of the strip lines, and a supporting member of a foam material is placed on the top of the patch portion formed on the first circuit board. A parasitic element made of a dielectric material is cantilevered by the supporting member. The free end side of the parasitic element is placed above the patch portion formed on the second circuit board while securing a predetermined space between the parasitic element and this patch portion. A strong electrical connection is established by the parasitic element that electromagnetically couples non-continuing portions, thereby making it possible to cut a direct current.

    • The present invention relates to a compact, lightweight microstrip antenna that operates at two frequencies that are widely different. On a dielectric substrate are formed an element consisting of an annular conductive pattern, wherein a central edge side thereof is short-circuited to a ground electrode, and an element consisting of a circular conductive pattern within the annular conductive pattern. The circular conductive pattern is accommodated within the annular conductive pattern. The two antennas operate at different frequencies, with the element formed by the annular conductive pattern resonating in TM.sub.11 mode and the element formed of the circular pattern resonating in the TM.sub.01 mode. An antenna capable of being used in common by systems with widely different frequency bands, such as the GPS and VICS, is thus obtained.

    • A low profile polarization diversity planar antenna capable of effectively separating the horizontal and vertical polarization. The antenna combines a notch antenna (A) and a patch antenna (B) in a low profile structure. The notch antenna comprises a ground plate (10), a feed plate (20), and a radiator plate (30) which are stacked in a spaced relation. The radiator plate is shorted to the ground plate at its center and formed in its periphery with at least two radial notches (38). The feed plate carries feeder probes (27) each located adjacent to each one of the notches for feeding the notch antenna. The patch antenna comprises a patch (40) stacked above the radiator plate (30). The patch (40) is grounded at one portion thereof and has a feed point spaced from the grounded portion for feeding the patch antenna. The patch is grounded to the radiator plate and has a diameter smaller than the radiator plate. Thus, the notch antenna and the patch antenna have individual radiator elements with the radiator plate rendered as the ground plane for the patch antenna, the notch and patch antennas exhibit less mutual coupling so as to effectively separate horizontal polarization made by the notch antenna from vertical polarization by the patch antenna.
