    • Methods and systems are provided that allow for the simultaneous calculation of pulse and regional blood oxygen saturation. An oximeter system that includes a sensor with a plurality of emitters and detectors may be used to calculate a pulse and/or regional blood oxygen saturation. A plurality of light signals may be emitted from light emitters. A first light signal may be received at a first light detector and a second light signal may be received at a second light detector. A pulse and/or regional blood oxygen saturation value may be calculated based on the received first and/or second light signals. The pulse and regional blood oxygen saturation values may be calculated substantially simultaneously. The calculated pulse and regional blood oxygen saturation values as well as other blood oxygen saturation values may be displayed simultaneously in a preconfigured portion of a display.

    • The present invention discloses a system for controlling the display size of a formula bar in a spreadsheet. The system for controlling the display size of the formula bar and a formula bar module are parallel in a main window module of a spreadsheet application, and the system includes a sub-system I which controls the display state of the formula bar and a sub-system II which controls the display range of the specific content in the formula bar. The system continuously executes real-time detecting and measuring of the aforementioned formula bar module while the application is running, and acquires data on the size of the formula bar from the aforementioned formula bar module. If the acquired data exceed the prescribed range, then it issues a command to the aforementioned formula bar module requesting a change in the size of the formula bar. In the mean time, it issues a command to the aforementioned sub-system I and the aforementioned sub-system II.

    • The present invention is directed toward methods of attaching or grafting carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to silicon or other surfaces, wherein such attaching or grafting occurs via functional groups on either or both of the CNTs and silicon surface. The present invention is also directed to the novel compositions produced by such methods. Previous work by Applicants has demonstrated covalent attachment of arenes via aryldiazonium salts to Si (hydride passivated single crystal or poly Si; or , p-doped, n-doped or intrinsic), GaAs, and Pd surfaces. In the case of Si, this provides a direct arene-Si bond with no intervening oxide. Applicants have also reported on the use of aryldiazonium salts for the direct covalent linkage of arenes to single wall carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) where the nanotubes can exist either as bundles or individual structures (when surfactant-wrapped). In some embodiments, the present invention is directed to a merger of these two technologies to afford the covalent attachment of individualized (unroped) SWNTs to Si surfaces.
