摘要： A process for producing a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a superior magnetic characteristic, comprising the steps of: hot-rolling a silicon steel slab comprising 0.021 to 0.100 wt % C, 2.5 to 4.5 wt % Si, one or more elements for forming inhibitors, and the balance consisting of Fe and unavoidable impurities, to form a hot-rolled sheet; coiling the hot-rolled sheet at a coiling temperature lower than 700.degree. C.; subsequently cold-rolling the hot-rolled sheet at a reduction of 80% or more, effected by a plurality of rolling passes, to a final product sheet thickness; holding the steel sheet at a temperature of from 50.degree. to 500.degree. C. for 1 minute or longer at least once at the stage between the rolling passes of the cold rolling; decarburization-annealing the cold-rolled sheet; and final-annealing the decarburization-annealed sheet.

摘要： A flow sensor includes an auxiliary channel having an opening into which a fluid to be measured is taken; a sensor element that measures the flow of the fluid to be measured; a housing that accommodates electronic parts; and a resin cover. The flow sensor is configured such that junctions of the housing and the cover are formed in locations where first target weld portions, which are formed so that the circuit chamber is surrounded, face each other and second target weld portions, which are disposed for additional reinforcement of the joints, face each other on a bonding face of the housing and a bonding face of the cover with a step being provided. The positioning of the housing and the cover is determined, and the first target weld portions are welded to each other and second target weld portions are welded to each other by way of laser radiation.

摘要： A silicon steel sheet (1) containing Si is cold-rolled. Next, a decarburization annealing (3) of the silicon steel sheet (1) is performed so as to cause a primary recrystallization. Next, the silicon steel sheet (1) is coiled so as to obtain a steel sheet coil (31). Next, an annealing (6) of the steel sheet coil (31) is performed through batch processing so as to cause a secondary recrystallization. Next, the steel sheet coil (31) is uncoiled and flattened. Between the cold-rolling and the obtaining the steel sheet coil (31), a laser beam is irradiated a plurality of times at predetermined intervals on a surface of the silicon steel sheet (1) from one end to the other end of the silicon steel sheet (1) along a sheet width direction (2). When the secondary recrystallization is caused, grain boundaries passing from a front surface to a rear surface of the silicon steel sheet (1) along paths of the laser beams are generated.

摘要： A thermally assisted magnetic recording head with highly efficient optical coupling, while guiding a laser beam from a semiconductor laser element, i.e., a light source, to a leading end thereof, eliminating an influence due to heat generated by the element, and having excellent floating characteristics. The thermally assisted magnetic recording head includes a substrate 2 having a first optical waveguide 1, a semiconductor laser element 100, and a slider 4 having a second optical waveguide 3 formed on an end surface. The semiconductor laser element 100 is fixed on the substrate 2 so that light emitted from the element 100 propagates through the first optical waveguide 1 and a slider 4 is fixed on the substrate 2 so that light emitted from the first optical waveguide 1 propagates through the second optical waveguide 3. High optical coupling efficiency is then achieved, while ensuring both heat-dissipating and floating characteristics.
