    • An outdoor shower device, comprising a water storage module, a power supply module, a heating module, a control module, a water supply module and an alarm module, wherein the water storage module is employed for water source storage, the control module controls the heating module to heat the water based on the water temperature, and then the water supply module provides the heated water for use. Furthermore, the power supply module provides electric power required for integral operations and enables the alarm module to determine the water level; in case the water level is exceedingly low, it is possible to present blinking display signal and audio alarm sound to inform the user of such a low water level thereby allowing the user to more effectively apply the outdoor shower device of the present invention.

    • A system for heating water used to produce hydraulic fracturing fluid (“fracing fluid”). The system includes a mobile water heating system, and first and second pumps. The heating system is configured to heat water at a first flow rate from a first temperature to a second temperature. The first pump pumps water having the first temperature from a water source to the heating system at the first flow rate. The second pump pumps the heated water from the heating system at a second flow rate. Both the first and second flow rates are at least 20 barrels per minute. The second pump pumps the heated water to a location (e.g., one or more tanks) whereat a proppant and/or a chemical may be added to the heated water to produce fracing fluid. The fracing fluid may be pumped to one or more wells and used to hydraulically fracture an underground formation.

    • A coolant heater having a coolant tank and a burner tube within the coolant tank is used for marine and motor coach installations. The burner tube is offset sidewise from the center line of the coolant tank to allow an exhaust manifold to be positioned within the coolant tank and beside the burner tube which allows a predictable coolant movement to more evenly distribute the heat throughout the coolant. An exhaust manifold is positioned within the coolant tank in the space obtained by the burner tube offset which allows an “up” or “down” exhaust duct configuration depending on the heater installation. An expansion tank connected to the coolant tank has a level switch located within the expansion tank and a pump is operably connected to the expansion tank and to the level switch. The pump terminates operation when the level switch indicates low coolant in the expansion tank.

    • A multi-purpose heating unit is sized and configured to be used with a variety of attachments or devices to perform various functions such as heating, cooking and providing light. In particular, the multi-purpose heating unit includes a heat source which can be used with a water heating attachment, an air heating attachment, a cooking attachment, and/or a light source attachment. Each of these attachments is configured to be selectively attachable to the heat source. Advantageously, because the same heat source is used in connection with these different devices, this decreases the size, weight and storage volume of these devices. This also allows the heating unit and some or all of the desired attachments or devices to be stored and transported in a relatively small container.

    • The apparatus for heating a fluid, such as water, as well as the method for using the apparatus are used in taking a personal shower or in cleaning an object. The apparatus includes an elongated tube formed of polymeric material and having two ends, one of the ends having a fitting attached thereto. The fitting is adapted to secure the apparatus in a fluid-tight manner to a source of a fluid flow. The other end of the tube has an applicator which includes one or more holes for the discharge of fluid flowing through the tube. A valve is disposed intermediate the ends of the tube. A portion of the elongated tube is formed into a coil which is disposed within a vessel. The coil is immersed in the liquid contained in the vessel. The vessel is disposed on a heating grate to heat water flowing through the tube.

    • A portable thermosyphon water heating system for use by outdoor enthusiasts, or others at locations remote from a conventional supply of hot water. Water is heated by an open campfire flame in an enclosed heat exchanger, and is circulated between the heat exchanger and a portable non-pressurized reservoir by thermosyphon action. The hot water returning to the reservoir is discharged through a floating transfer conduit assembly, so the discharge rises and falls with the water level in the reservoir. The floating nature of the hot water return allows the majority of water within the reservoir to be used before refilling is needed, while maintaining thermosyphon action. A method of heating a liquid using the system described above is also provided, along with a retrofit apparatus for retrofitting existing reservoirs to use the thermosyphon principles and components of the present invention.

    • A heater for heating liquids such as water in an aquarium comprises a water-impermeable housing including a heating section for immersion in the water. Within the heating section of the housing is a flexible, distributed planar heating element. The housing is resistant to breakage from mechanical and operating abuse and has a high heat transfer coefficient and high heat distortion temperature. To prevent the housing from melting when a control element of the heater malfunctions, preferably the aquarium heater includes temperature limiting means such as a circuit protection element comprising a material having a positive temperature coefficient of resistance. Preferably, the heating section of the housing is fabricated with large surface area walls to accommodate the planar heating element, and is provided with coupling means for maintaining the heating element thermally coupled to the walls of the heating section. The coupling means can be a ribbed support for holding the heating element against the heating section walls.
