摘要： A macaroni distributor shaker is disclosed in which short cut macaroni, noodles or other alimentary paste particles in partially dried form are received within a hopper of partial cone shape at the top of the shaker and thereafter advanced along the length of an elongated chute extending from one side of the hopper to a lower open end of the chute for distribution over a moving drying screen therebelow. The macaroni particles are uniformly and evenly distributed on the drying screen by vibratory motion of the chute in the direction of elongation thereof combined with reciprocating rotational movement of the chute and included hopper about a generally vertical axis at a slower rate such that the lower open end of the chute reciprocates laterally between the opposite edges of the drying screen. The vibratory and lateral motions are generated from a single drive motor coupled to drive a rotatable shaft including an eccentric bearing and a gear reduction mechanism. The vibratory motion results from a connecting rod coupled between the eccentric bearing and the chute which is mounted to a base frame for longitudinal movement relative thereto by a plurality of elongated elements pivotably mounted to the base frame and to the chute. Reciprocating rotational motion of the chute is provided by a rotary cranking mechanism which is rotatably mounted on the base frame and coupled to a rotating arm on the gear reduction mechanism and to a support frame on which the base frame is pivotably mounted for rotation about a generally vertical axis.

摘要： A potato harvester has a vertically swingable, potato-unloading conveyor segment, extensible laterally therefrom, and provided with a pair of articulated sections adapted to not only discharge the potatoes gently into the bottom of a container, but to be gradually raised as the potatoes pile up and are heaped above the top of the container. A special, combination hip joint and power lift connection for the sectional conveyor segment causes it to rise automatically so as to prevent damage thereto when accidentally bumped by the potato-receiving container of a trailer, truck or the like. The effective width of the harvester may be reduced for storage and over-the-road travel by tucking or folding the outer section in, under and between the harvester and the inner section.

摘要： A feeder apparatus having an elongate, hooded supporting structure positioned above a feed trough. A reciprocally movable carriage of approximately one-half the length of the supporting structure is mounted thereon. A flexible conveyor belt is trained around belt guides on the carriage and the belt forms a loop about the carriage. The belt receives feed from a hopper and the feed is distributed along the trough in response to reciprocation of the carriage along the supporting structure and the accompanying shifting of the loop. In one form of the invention, the belt has permanently anchored portions. In another r form, an anchoring mechanism selectively grips portions of the conveyor belt to hold same stationary during certain phases of reciprocation of the carriage.

摘要： A variable pitch chain link assembly adapted to be operated in tension from a single driving source. Different portions of the chain assembly travel simultaneously at different speeds varying as widely as six to one using a driving power source operating at uniform speed. Basically a single chain assembly suffices to practice the fundamental principles of the invention. A simple link chain is provided equipped with rigid arms projecting from the opposite sides thereof and each effective in cooperation with cam means confined to the related side of the chain to flex the chain linkage either in a direction to shorten or to lengthen the chain pitch depending upon the contour of the cam means. The rigid arms are so arranged as not to pivot across the plane of advance thereby permitting free access to the chain in this plane for connection of other equipment in a wide range of useful operating environments for the invention chain assembly.
