    • An integrated rotary drive apparatus for driving an element to be rotated in a controlled manner, comprises; a coupling shaft coupled to the element to be rotated, a drive shaft having a hollow portion within which the coupling shaft engages, a shaftless DC motor armature coupled to the coupling shaft for directly driving the coupling shaft, and a flywheel and rotary encoder disk coupled to the drive shaft to rotate therewith. The integrated rotary drive further includes a first enclosure section, for mounting to a non-rotating frame member for supporting the integrated rotary drive, and a second enclosure section mounted to the first enclosure section, for supporting a non-rotating optical encoder reader in proximity to the rotary encoder disk for providing a feedback signal, and for supporting a non-rotating DC motor stator in proximity to the DC motor armature for driving the DC motor armature when a DC current is applied to the stator.

    • A device for driving a rotary solenoid in which the two transistors on one side of an H-bridge circuit that drives the rotary solenoid are not simultaneously rendered conductive in order to prevent the burning. An instruction signal from the CPU is made up of a first instruction signal which instructs the rotation in either the forward direction or the reverse direction and a second instruction signal which instructs either the rotation or the holding. Depending upon the combinations of the first and second instruction signals, the output of the logic circuit renders the first to fourth transistors of the H-bridge circuit conductive or non-conductive.

    • Apparatus for using an a.c. power supply to bidirectionally drive a d.c. motor includes a first silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) having a cathode connected to a terminal of the motor and an anode connected to a circuit common junction. A second SCR has an anode connected to the motor terminal and a cathode connected to the common junction. An amplifier circuit including a PNP transistor connected in a common base configuration is connected between the gate of the first SCR and the common junction for selectively enabling or disabling the first SCR. Separate means are provided for selectively applying a signal to the amplifier circuit or to the gate of the second SCR for enabling the rotation of the motor in a first or second direction.

    • A motor control device for a radio control system is disclosed. The motor control device is mounted on an object to be controlled so as to adjust a control range in each of forward, braking and backing of the object. The motor control device is provided with a variable reference signal source for generating a backing reference signal and a comparator for discriminating a region of control element on a transmitter side by comparing a braking-backing command signal generated from a drive control circuit with the backing reference signal. The control range can be adjusted by adjusting a level of the backing reference signal of the variable reference signal source.
