    • A flapper finger valve assembly for use in an exhaust system. The flapper finger valve includes a tube having a plurality of orifices therethrough. The flapper finger valve assembly also includes a plurality of flapper finger valves generally having a C-shape wherein the flapper finger valves are arranged on an outside surface of the tube. The flapper finger valves are capable of radial movement with respect to the tube. A plurality of retainers generally having a C-shape are arranged around the flapper finger valve. These retainers will define a maximum radial movement for such flapper finger valves on the tube. The flapper finger valve assembly also includes a fastener which will secure the flapper finger valves between a tube and retainers in the flapper finger valve assembly.

    • A fluid valve operator for moving a moveable valve element such as a disc (14) that is pressed forcefully against a surface of a valve frame (12). The valve operator includes first and second electric gear reduction motors (22, 24) that each has a movable driving member such as a rack (34, 36) that moves against a handle (20) of the valve element to move the valve element to a connect or disconnect position. Each motor withdraws its driving member from the valve member handle after moving the valve member. A default mechanism (90) moves the valve element handle to a preselected one of the positions, such as the disconnect position, when pressure of a fluid falls below a preselected level.

    • The present invention relates to a temperature-sensitive safety valve assembly. The valve assembly comprises a first pressurised fluid region, which region has a first outlet and a second pressurised fluid region, which region has a heat-sensitive sealing means. A valve between the first and second regions is adapted to be actuated by the pressure of a first pressurised fluid in the first region against biasing means to open the outlet. The heat-sensitive sealing means in the second region fails at high temperature so as to de-pressurise the second region, thereby actuating the valve to move under the biasing means to close the first outlet and seal the first region. The valve assembly comprises a relay unit, which is arranged to sense a parameter, and react to the sensing of the parameter by sealing the first region. The temperature-sensitive safety valve assembly is remotely electronically operable in a wireless manner. Also, the temperature-sensitive safety valve assembly has an electronic device and a solar cell arranged to supply power to the electronic device.

    • A pressure protection system (32) has a docking manifold (44) to which an upstream portion (36) and a downstream portion (38) of a pipeline (34) are connected. Also connected to the docking manifold (44) is a retrievable module (64) which has a conduit circuit (66) that connects the upstream and downstream portions of the pipeline (34) enabling fluid to flow between the two portions (36, 38). The conduit circuit contains two fail-safe valves (72) which are controlled by a control module (80) within the retrievable module, and two pressure transmitters (76) co-operable with the control module (80). When wither pressure transmitter (76) senses fluid pressure in the conduit circuit (66) to be above a threshold value then it causes the control module (80) to effect closure of the valves (72) preventing the pressure rise from reaching the downstream portion (38) of the pipeline (34).
