    • An improved slide out support to be mounted at two sides of a server cabinet for holding and drawing a computer processor in the cabinet includes a front beam slidably engaged with a rear beam. The front and rear beam have respectively a first and a second fastening flange formed and bent at a selected angle at two ends thereof for engaging with the front and rear struts of the cabinet. The front and rear beams also have respectively an engaging member which are engageable with each other at various positions such that the engaged front and rear beam may be extended or shortened to a length desired for mounting to the cabinet of different lengths.

    • A method of installing a telescopic shelf in a cabinet comprises installing a pair of facing guides, each guide having first and second brackets fixed at opposed ends of the guide and each bracket having either a planar lug or a hook for engaging with a series of mounting holes. When the guides have been installed, a telescopic shelf can be slid into the facing channels. As the brackets are fixed to the guide and, the fixing of the guides within the cabinet is carried out purely by engagement of parts of the brackets with the mounting post, there is never any need for loose pieces to be used within the cabinet. The brackets are telescopically adjustable to accommodate guides and shelves of different dimensions.

    • A media magazine container utilizes a recirculating latch mechanism that makes minimal use of a solenoid and includes a safety door. The latch mechanism includes a contoured latch arm with a configured opening and a shoulder, a slider moving in a slider track and coupled to the latch arm, and a restoring device, such as a spring, for providing a counteractive force. The mechanism latches a magazine into the container by capturing magazine pins in the shoulder of the latch arm. The magazine can be easily unlatched by forcing the latch arm downward with an actuating device, causing the slider and configured opening to interact. As the magazine is extracted from the container, the slider and configured opening interact in such a manner that when the magazine is fully extracted the latch arm is back to the original position where it first received the magazine, and is ready to receive another. A safety door blocks passage to any objects entering the container other than a media magazine. The latch mechanism can further actuate an external access door.
