摘要： Methods of manufacturing hot mix on site utilizing a composition of discrete substances that are capable of being mixed together to form a composite material are disclosed. The composition includes a plurality of pellets of a tacky, deformable material at an ambient temperature dispersed within a flowable fine material. Stone aggregate is placed in a mixing chamber that has been moved within proximity of the location where the hot mix is to be used. At least a portion of the stone aggregate is heated in the mixing chamber to a temperature sufficient to soften the pellets of the tacky, deformable material. The composition of discrete substances is added into the mixing chamber. The mixture of the composition of discrete substances and the stone aggregate is agitated until the pellets of a tacky, deformable material soften and uniformly coat the stone aggregate.

摘要： The composite of the present invention includes zeolite having a metal hydroxide supported thereon, and thus it can release moisture inside the zeolite effectively. Therefore, the warm-mix asphalt additive including the composite is not only economical but also able to lower with ease the temperatures required for mixing and compacting an asphalt mixture. Also, the asphalt mixture including the above-described warm-mix additive has a benefit of an improved adhesive strength, which leads to an excellent resistance to plastic deformation.

摘要： Methods and systems for producing warm foam mix asphalt are disclosed. In some embodiments, the methods include the following: injecting an ethanol additive into asphalt binder having a temperature below the auto ignition point of ethanol to form a foamed asphalt stream; adding the foamed asphalt stream to a mixing zone; adding at least one of aggregate and reclaimed asphalt pavement to the mixing zone; adding a foaming agent to the mixing chamber; heating at least one of the mixing zone and the at least one of aggregate and reclaimed asphalt pavement; mixing the foamed asphalt stream and the at least one of aggregate and reclaimed asphalt pavement to form a warm foam mix asphalt; collecting emissions from the mixing zone, the emissions including ethanol vapors; and recycling the emissions to the mixing zone.

The method permits rapid and efficient production of a roadway structure with good adhesion between the substrate and the asphalt and is suitable in particular for the restoration of asphalt coverings, which must be carried out under time pressure. The application of primer courses is not required.
