摘要： A language converter and transmitting system includes a processor adapted for converting the first language into a plurality of secondary languages. An audio input is operationally coupled to the processor. An audio output of a media source may be operationally coupled to the audio input. A wireless transmitter is operationally coupled to the processor for transmitting each of the secondary languages. Each of the secondary languages is transmitted on one of a plurality of frequencies. Each of a plurality of receiving devices includes a receiver for receiving signals from the wireless transmitter. A tuner for selecting one of the plurality of frequencies is operationally coupled to the receiver. A sound emitter for emitting an audible sound is operationally coupled to the tuner. The tuner may be used to select one of said plurality of frequencies such that one of the plurality of secondary languages is emitted through the sound emitter.

The first decode/display time information is used when the decoding unit of the video data is a picture, and the second decode/display time information is used when the decoding unit is a sub-picture. If the network assumes an undesirable state, the request determining unit causes a multiplex output unit to stop multiplexing data. When the network assumes a desirable state, the multiplex unit starts multiplexing the data again. A video encoding unit and an audio encoding unit keep encoding data, whether the multiplex output unit is multiplexing data or not. When the area occupied by encoded data in an encoded-video-data storage unit and the area occupied by encoded data in an encoded-audio-data storage unit exceed a predetermined value, the encoding units stop encoding data, and wait until the area occupied by encoded data sufficiently decreases.

Location information is received which references the supplemental data to identify a location within the first audio/video stream. At least a portion of the audio data of the first audio/video stream is replaced at the identified location with the audio data segment to produce a second audio/video stream. 摘要： A digital television (DTV) signal for use in a DTV receiver includes an extended text table (ETT) which includes a header and a message body. The header includes a table identification extension field which serves to establish uniqueness of the ETT, and the message includes an extended text message (ETM). If the ETT is an event ETT, the table ID extension field includes an event identification which specifies an identification number of an event associated with the ETT. On the other hand, if the ETT is a channel ETT, the table identification extension field includes a source identification which specifies a programming source of a virtual channel associated with the ETT. A section-filtering unit included in the DTV receiver is able to use table identification extension fields of a plurality of ETTs for section-filtering a pertinent event or channel ETT from the ETTs.
