摘要： An interactive voice response method permits an intelligent interactive voice system to communicate with a caller. The method includes determining that a caller is a first time caller, interactively communicating with the first time caller, and routing a call to a particular destination based upon information received from the caller. The method also includes establishing a caller personal profile based on the information received from the first time caller, developing a predictive personalized interactive communication dialog for a repeat call by the first time caller, and storing the caller personal profile and the predictive personalized interactive communication dialog. The method further includes updating the predictive personalized interactive communication dialog based on information obtained by the repeat call by the first time caller.

摘要： A subscriber (12, 14, 16) initiating an Internet telephony call may receive specific content targeted to that subscriber in accordance with a match between at least one of the dialed number and the calling party number. Upon receipt of the subscriber's Internet telephony call, an Internet Telephony Service Provider server (18) searches each of a dialed number database, a calling party number database and a default database to establish a match between the calling party number, the dialed number or a range of either numbers. Upon finding a match, the Internet Telephony Service Provider server retrieves corresponding content, typically in the form of a URL that links to an associated web site, to provide to the subscriber who may elect to retrieve that information at the subscriber's discretion.

摘要： A method for storing personalized voicemail messages for a plurality of stored contacts initially prompts the user to record a customized voicemail message for each of the plurality of stored contacts. When received, the customized voicemail message is assigned to at least one selected contact from the plurality of stored contacts. The customized voicemail message is played to a caller, if a telephone number of the caller matches with the telephone number associated with the at least one selected contact. In order to do so, the telephone number of the caller is compared with the telephone number of each of the plurality of stored contacts. The customized voicemail can contain a voice message and also a designated number of alert tones which are played before the voice message is heard.

Data-capable mobile devices query at least a public database to retrieve information about a set of parties engaged in communication. The results of the database query are employed to provide detailed caller identification and detail functionality to telephones or communication devices not utilizing traditional landlines or commercial caller identification service. Storage can be included to include address book function, query caching, and user preferences. An interface can be provided to facilitate display of rich caller identification information. The interface can further update displayed information without user input, or provide user selection control to request more information on a selected portion of displayed information. These features can be applied to determine the information about a party that is either receiving a communication or initiating a communication.
