    • A connector terminal has a base with an opening extending therethrough. The opening is surrounded by an inner border of the base. A series of resilient contacts extend away from the base from the inner border to form a socket. The contacts have opposed surfaces which are spaced apart from each other and positioned to define the socket. The contacts have tips that extend in an outwardly direction relative to the opening to allow easy insertion into and removal of a male terminal from the socket. A securement portion on the base allows a conductor to be secured to the connector terminal.

    • A battery connector is constituted by a battery terminal, a fitting portion, a terminal cover, an opening portion and an operation member. The battery terminal is connected to a wire and has the fitting portion which has an aperture enough to be loosely fitted to the battery post. The terminal cover receives the battery terminal therein and has the opening portion for the battery terminal to fit to the battery post therethrough. The operation member is movably attached to the terminal cover, and fastens the battery terminal to the battery post by reducing the aperture of the fitting portion loosely fitted to the battery post. Therefore, the battery connector is pressure-fixed to the battery post.

    • A metal terminal (20) includes an post winding-around portion (23) which is connectable to an electrode post (2) to clasp from an outer side thereof. When a lock lever (25) is pressed down to a locking position, a clasp by the post winding-around portion (23) with respect to the electrode post (2) is set in a locked state. An insulating protective cover (30) is attachable to the metal terminal (20) so as to cover at least an entire connecting portion of the metal terminal (20), connected to the electrode post (2), when a distal end portion of the protective cover (30) is pressed down, while using as a fulcrum a proximal end portion of the protective cover (30) abutted against the post winding-around portion (23), and while causing the lock lever (25) to follow the protective cover (30) so that the lock lever (25) is pressed down to the locking position.

    • A battery cable disconnector enables a battery to be disconnected and reconnected quickly and easily without tools. The disconnector includes a female lug connector and a male lug connector adapted to be detachably connected together, each of the connectors having a two-faced contact section with one face for engagement with a face of the other connector when connected. The female contact section has an upper contact face and a lower non-contact face, the contact section having a centrally located circular opening with slots extending radially from the opening at the 12 and 6 o'clock positions and with grooves extending radially from the opening at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the lower non-contact face. The male connector contact section has a lower contact face and an upper non-contact face, the contact section having a centrally located circular opening with a hex head bolt extending therethrough, the bolt having a pin extending transversely through it at a point distal from the hex head and below the lower contact face, the pin being sized to fit through the slots in the female contact section, the bolt further having a surrounding helical spring above the upper non-contact face which yieldably urges the bolt away from the contact face.

    • An adapter has a cylindrical body which is screwed onto a battery post, and a flange portion formed on a top portion of the cylindrical body to be clamped by a screwing tool. A terminal body includes a substantially U-shaped adaptor fitting portion which accommodates the adapter therein, and a seat portion on which an electric wire terminal is fixed. A lever includes a cam portion and is supported on the terminal body so as to be pivotable between a first position and a second position. A space in which the flange portion is capable of passing through is secured inside of the adaptor fitting portion when the lever is in the first position. The cam portion is abutted against an outer periphery of the cylindrical body of the adaptor so that the adaptor is retained between the cam portion and an inner face of the adaptor fitting portion, when the lever is in the second position. The flange portion of the adaptor is engaged with a top end face of the adapter fitting portion of the terminal body.

    • A battery receptacle connector comprises a dielectric housing forming a number of parallel terminal receiving grooves with a terminal received in each groove. Adjacent grooves are spaced by a partition. The housing further defines first and second engaging slots in communication with each groove for securing the corresponding terminal therein. Each terminal comprises a base, a tail portion downwardly extending from the base, positioning means consisting of a first positioning member and a second positioning member, a pair of cantilevered arms upwardly extending from the base, and a mating portion consisting of a first mating member and a second mating member. The first positioning member upwardly extends from the base opposite the tail portion, and the second positioning member forwardly extends from the base. The first and second positioning members are respectively received in the first and second engaging slots of the housing and anchor the terminal within the corresponding terminal receiving groove thereby preventing the terminals from becoming adversely affected by deflection and mechanical shock. The first and second mating members allow a mating plug connector to engage with the battery receptacle connector in more than one direction.
