摘要： An air conditioner includes an air inlet and an air outlet. A door is movable vertically to open and close the air outlet. The door is guided for movement in guide slots which are configured to cause either a lower portion of the door, or the entire door, to move horizontally toward the air outlet during the closing operation. A spring may be provided to bias the closed door against the air outlet.

摘要： A cabinet unit for housing component parts of an air conditioning system and in particular, to a cabinet formed by three molded sections that include a base section, a cover section and a back section that are interlocked in assembly to establish a high strength self-standing, rust proof enclosure. The back section contains a pair of internal vertical walls that coact with the cover section to form an air passage for connecting an inlet vent and an outlet vent and a separate equipment compartment adjacent to the air passage. A molded volute shaped wall closes the top of the air passage and forms a casing for housing a cylindrical fan. A guide means is removably supported in the front cover within the air passage adjacent the fan which serves to establish a stable laminar flow of air moving through the fan. By removing the front cover section free access is afforded to both the air passage and equipment compartment and further permits the guide vane to be changed so that different size fans can be accommodated within the rotor casing of the unit.

摘要： An air conditioner and a control method thereof perform cooling through an outlet if room temperature or room humidity is high to reduce the room temperature or the room humidity, and closing the outlet to perform cooling at low velocity through an outlet hole if room temperature or room humidity reaches a predetermined value so that a user can little feel the wind velocity of cooling of the air conditioner, while maintaining indoor space at pleasant temperature or humidity. By performing cooling at low velocity through the outlet hole formed in the lower portion of the air conditioner, it is possible to cool the lower area of indoor space at pleasant temperature when a user is asleep.
