摘要： A transmission storage oil level control system includes a first fluid reservoir and a second fluid reservoir separated from the first fluid reservoir by a barrier. A valve positioned in the barrier is controlled to open and close a fluid communication path between the second fluid reservoir and the first fluid reservoir. The valve is normally closed when a temperature of the hydraulic fluid is above a predetermined value. A sensor is positioned in at least one of the first reservoir and the second reservoir. The sensor identifies a condition of a hydraulic fluid. A control device communicates with the valve to apply a signal received from the sensor to selectively open and close the valve when the temperature of the hydraulic fluid is above the predetermined value.

摘要： A lubrication system includes a reserve housing configured to retain a lubrication fluid. A supply line in fluid communication with the reserve housing is configured to provide pressurized lubrication fluid to the reserve housing. An overflow tube has an overflow port, the overflow tube being configured to prevent the volume of the lubrication fluid from exceeding a certain amount. A metering jet is configured to allow the lubrication fluid to flow from the reserve housing onto a component, such as a bearing, in the gearbox at a predetermined rate. The metering jet provides flow of the lubrication fluid onto the bearing even when the supply line no longer provides pressurized lubrication fluid to the reserve housing.

The skimmer is coupled to the housing for movement between a first position, in which the skimmer is positioned relative to a driven component of the power-transmitting device to skim the lubricant from the driven component, and a second position. The OPFC can be operated in a first condition, in which fluid flow from the outlet port is substantially blocked to thereby inhibit a flow of the lubricant in the cavity to the sump, and a second condition, in which fluid flow through the outlet port from the cavity to the sump is permitted.

The dual clutch transmission device has a transmission device with a transmission housing, with a coupling housing positioned within the transmission housing and with a lubricant reservoir to receive a lubricant for the transmission device, which includes an oil trap ring connected at least indirectly with the transmission housing, which at least partially surrounds the coupling housing. The oil trap ring has a side facing the coupling housing which is primarily designed as an oil guide surface and which has at least one groove which is intended to guide lubricant into the lubricant reservoir. The dual clutch transmission device also has a gear set with a dry sump to lubricate the gear set.

摘要： A gearbox assembly with emergency lubrication system includes a housing with an interior including a lubricant sump. The housing includes a breather port and a visual inspection port. The breather port is sized for at least one of relieving internal pressure or admitting air. The visual inspection port is located to allow visual inspection of a component in an interior of the housing. A transmission is disposed within the interior of the housing in fluid communication with the lubricant sump. An emergency lubricant reservoir is in fluid communication with the transmission through the breather port and/or the visual inspection port. A method of retrofitting a gear box assembly with an emergency lubrication system includes removing plugs from visual inspection ports of a gearbox housing, removing a breather from a breather port of the gearbox housing, and installing jet plugs into the respective visual inspection ports and breather port.

摘要： A sector-shaped cutaway portion which exposes a portion of a differential ring gear from a tooth tip to a tooth root is formed in a flange portion of a reservoir plate to extend in the rotational direction of the differential ring gear from an opening initial-end portion which is provided at a location rotated from the vertically lower portion of the differential ring gear by 90 degrees in the rotational direction, and the helix of the differential ring gear is formed so as to provide a motion component directed toward a converter housing (toward a working oil storage chamber) to working oil raked up by the differential ring gear. Consequently, working oil raked up by the differential ring gear can be directly splattered from the cutaway portion toward the converter housing, which makes it possible to suppress a residence of working oil in a differential chamber.

摘要： A lubricant management system for a vehicle is provided. The lubricant management system includes a housing, a power transmitting component, and a valve. The housing defines a lubricant passage therethrough. The power transmitting component is rotatingly disposed in the housing. The valve is at least partially disposed in the lubricant passage and has a first position and a second position. The valve in the first position militates against a flow of lubricant from a first portion of the housing to a second portion of the housing and the valve in the second position facilitates the flow of lubricant from the first portion of the housing to the second portion of the housing. The lubricant management system varies an amount of lubricant used in a sump of the housing in a simple and cost effective manner.
