    • A plunger pump includes a pump body, a pump head attached to a tip end portion of the pump body, the pump head including a pump chamber, an inlet path and an outlet path, a plunger that slides in an axial direction along the inner wall of the pump chamber, and a ring-shaped plunger seal for preventing fluid leakage from the pump chamber to the pump body. The plunger seal is arranged between the pump chamber and the pump body with a front surface facing the pump chamber and a back surface facing the pump body, includes a penetration hole from the front surface to the back surface, and holds the plunger in a slidable manner with the inner wall of the penetration hole. The plunger seal includes a ring-shaped hollow portion surrounding the penetration hole, the hollow portion communicating with a back surface side of the plunger seal and not communicating with a front surface side of the plunger seal. An elastic member for expanding the hollow portion in a radial direction of the plunger by an elastic force is provided inside the hollow portion.

    • A piston pump is provided comprising a cylinder with an inner cylinder wall. The piston pump comprises at least one working space including fluid intake and fluid outlet, a piston including a piston rod and a piston head. The piston head includes a lateral surface facing the cylinder wall, a front surface facing the working space, a rear surface and at least one piston head channel. Furthermore, the piston head's lateral surface is provided with a first projection and a second projection extending round the entire circumference of the lateral surface and in contact with the cylinder wall, thereby forming an annulus which is defined by the first projection, the second projection, the cylinder wall and possibly the cylinder head's lateral surface between the first and the second projections if the piston head is designed so that the projections are provided with an axial spacing between them. The projections are designed so that a pressurised liquid located in the annulus will substantially flow into the cylinder's working space.

    • A fluid pump includes a chamber and a plunger extending into the chamber and supported for sliding movement on a suction stroke to introduce fluid into the chamber and on a discharge stroke to force fluid out of the chamber. A driver slides the pumping member in opposite directions. A seal ring is located between the chamber and the pumping member and permits the sliding movement of the pumping member. The seal ring has an outer annular portion having a generally flat cross-section, clamped in a wall of the chamber and an inner annular portion having a bulbous cross-section and in sliding sealing engagement with the pumping member.
