摘要： This invention is concerned with catalysts, particularly those useful for hydroconversion, preferably hydrocracking, a process for using the catalysts, and a method for manufacturing the catalysts, which comprises:A. forming a mixture comprising an aqueous gelatinous precipitate containing in intimate admixture a first component, said precipitate comprising an inorganic oxide or precursor thereof;B. forming a catalyst precursor comprising at least one organic-metal-compound precipitate and said gelatinous precipitate by reacting said first component with a second component, said reaction being effected by intimately intermixing said mixture with said second component, said components belonging to different groups, and being selected from the following groups:A. a first group consisting of water soluble transition metal series compounds; andB. a second group consisting of water soluble organic gravimetric reagents for said transition series compounds;C. converting said catalyst precursor to a catalyst, said converting comprising at least a step of maintaining said precursor at a temperature in the range from about 500.degree.F to 1800.degree.F for a period in the range from about 1 to 48 hours.The preferred catalyst comprises a noble metal, preferably palladium on a silica-alumina support, particularly useful for hydrocracking processes.

摘要： The performance of a hydrocarbon conversion process using a trimetallic acidic catalytic composite, comprising a combination of catalytically effective amounts of a platinum or palladium component, an iridium component, a germanium component, and a halogen component with a porous carrier material, is improved by sulfiding the catalytic component, prior to any contact with hydrocarbon, so that about 0.05 to 0.5 wt. % of sulfur is incorporated therein, thereby diminishing undesired exothermic hydrocracking and demethylation during initial operation of the process.

The conversion includes at least a step of heating the catalyst precursor at 500*-1,800* F. for 1 to 48 hours. The preferred catalyst comprises a noble metal, preferably palladium on a silica-alumina support, particularly useful for hydrocracking processes.

摘要： A process for reforming a hydrocarbon feed stock which comprises heating said charge stock in contact with a catalytic composite comprising a tin component and a platinum component on a carrier material at reforming conditions including a pressure of from about 0 to about 1000 psig and a temperature of from about 800* to about 1,100* F. The catalytic composite is characterized by a method of preparation. A high surface area porous carrier material is impregnated with a solution comprising a trichlorostannate (II)-chloroplatinate anionic complex and thereafter dried and calcined to yield the catalytic composite.

摘要： A hydrocarbon hydroprocess utilizing a catalytic composite of a porous carrier material, a Group VIII noble metal component and a lead component, in which process there is effected a chemical consumption of hydrogen. A specific example of one such catalyst is a composite of a crystalline aluminosilicate, a platinum component and a lead component, for utilization in a hydrocracking process. Other hydrocarbon hydroprocesses are directed toward the hydrogenation of aromatic nuclei, the ringopening of cyclic hydrocarbons, desulfurization, denitrification, hydrogenation, etc. The catalyst contains 0.01 percent to about 2.0 percent by weight of the noble metal component, and the atomic ratio of lead to noble metal is in the range of 0.05:1 to 0.9:1.
