    • In a network computer system, recovery may be impossible from a fault when the fault occurs in a network switch in a network or a device such as an external disk device.     • A vendor system acquires information on a user system from the user system. The user system applies the software-updating patch to the software installed in the user system to update the user system. In the configuration described above, the user system can be updated with ease by adoption of a method to update the software installed in the user computer through a network. In addition, after the software installed in the user computer is updated, it is possible to assure the high reliability and high service level of the user system.
