    • A method, apparatus, computer readable medium is provided to perform resource coordination among multiple cells to cancel near-far interference for device-to-device transmission, including cross-cell device-to-device transmission. In this context, a dedicated resource exchanging channel can be defined between cellular user equipment and device-to-device user equipment for interference control and resource coordination. A cellular user equipment can forward its uplink resource grant information over the dedicated resource exchanging channel when it determines potential interference. A device-to-device user equipment can monitor the dedicated resource exchanging channel in order to identify one or more resources that can potentially interfere with device-to-device transmission.

    • Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for allocating resources among user elements. In one aspect there is provided a method. The method may include receiving, at a base station, information from a user element. The information may include at least one bit representing whether direct transmissions between pairs of user elements cause interference to the user element. The base station may schedule, based on the received information, the user element into at least one of a first subframe, when the received information indicates a risk of interference from the direct transmissions between the pairs of user elements, and into a second subframe, when the received information indicates no risk of interference from the direct transmissions between the pairs of user elements. Related apparatus, systems, methods, and articles are also described.

    • Signalling uplink and downlink scheduling grants for a plurality of subframes in a time division duplex frame is addressed. In one aspect the allocated uplink subframes are divided into groups, so the number of groups equals the number of downlink subframes being allocated. Uplink grants for the groups are sent with the downlink grants, and for those groups that have more than one uplink subframe, the grant message also indicates which uplink subframes are included in that group. In another aspect there are two sets of grant messages, one for the uplink subframes and one for the downlink subframes. Each of the uplink grant messages is sent on a different uplink grant message, and there is a one-to-one correspondence between the uplink grant channel and the uplink subframe being scheduled by the grant. That correspondence may also be signalled with the grant messages.

    • The present application relates generally to use of radio resources in a radio access network (RAN) and, in more specific, Full-Duplex (FD) transmission on the same carrier. Due to the mobility of the UEs or the non-optimal grouping, two UEs belonging to different groups may be close to each other while performing transmission and cause serious transmission interferences to 5 each other. This is one of the problems which a method in accordance with the invention aims to solve. When the performing the method a RAN triggers a UE to measure 601 first interferences originated from a first group of UEs. Then the RAN triggers the same UE to measure 602 second interferences originated from a second group of the UEs. Finally, the RAN places 603 the UE into the first group, if the first interferences are higher than the second interferences. The both 10 groups of the UEs are composed of such user equipments which share a group-specific transmission pattern. Uplink and downlink resources of the RAN are scheduled according to a time-division to the UEs, so that simultaneous transmissions are allowed only for such user equipments that belong to different groups. Advantages of the invention are the following: 1) simultaneous transmission and reception is supported in a RAN and in a UE which is either a FD 15 UE or a HD UE, 2) different kinds of interferences are efficiently reduced, and 3) the interferences are measured in a way that saves power.
