    • There is disclosed a hand punch comprising a C-shaped member having a punch and die mounted in the extremities thereof. A rotary head having a threaded member axially disposed therein is mounted for rotation in one extremity of the C and the punch or cutting head is mounted on that member so that, when the rotary head is rotated, the cutting head is advanced into the die. The cutting head has cutting edges adapted to bite into the material to be punched and to hold it against rotation. It is threaded onto the threaded member by a reverse thread so that, once it bites into the material to be punched, the threaded member is held against rotation, whereby rotation of the rotary head drives the punch into the die.

    • A prophylactic regimen for passively preventing infection with a pathogen which has a typical route of infection through the nasopharynx region of a subject, e.g., an airborne virus typically transmitted through coughing or sneezing. The method involves specifically targeting a subject's nasopharynx with a viral vector comprising an AAV capsid and carrying a nucleic acid sequence encoding an anti-viral neutralizing antibody construct operably linked to expression control sequences, in order to provide for high levels of expression of the anti-viral neutralizing antibody construct in the nasal airway cells. Optionally, the neutralizing antibody construct is expressed under a promoter which is regulated or induced by a small molecule which is delivered separately from the viral vector. In one embodiment, the method permits transfection of a subject's nasopharynx even where the subject has circulating neutralizing antibodies against the AAV capsid.

    • An interconnect assembly includes an optical fiber cable, legs, connectors, and covers. The optical fiber cable includes a jacket and sub-units. The jacket has an interior defining a passage and the sub-units extend through the passage and include optical fibers extending lengthwise through the sub-units. The legs of the interconnect assembly extend from the passage on an end of the jacket, where the legs are continuations of or extensions from the sub-units such that the optical fibers further extend through the legs. The connectors are attached to the optical fibers on distal ends of the legs and the covers are attached to the connectors. The covers each include an end having a track for wrapping one or more of the legs over in order to package the legs and connectors, such as for placement of the legs and connectors within a pulling grip for installation of the interconnect assembly through a duct.
