    • A motor control apparatus includes a reference model unit configured to generate a model output representing a desired operation of the controlled object and a model input for driving the controlled object to the desired operation, a feedback unit configured to generate a feedback for causing the control output to follow the model output, and an adder configured to add up the model input and the feedback and generate a control input to the controlled object. The reference model unit includes a storing unit configured to retain, as a vector, a present value of the target value and one or a plurality of past values of the target value, a numerical model configured to simulate a characteristic of the controlled object and generate the model output and a state variable on the basis of the model input, a model controller configured to generate the model input, and a controller determining unit configured to determine the model controller.

    • A drainable vehicle wheel having a hub, a plurality of spokes extending radially from the hub and a rim having tips ends of the spokes connected thereto. Each of the plurality of spokes has a hollow portion and a plurality of water-discharge hole formed therein. The hub has an outer hollow portion formed by a plurality of walls, and one the walls has a drain hole formed therein. The outer hollow portion of the hub is fluidly connected to a hollow portion formed in each of the spokes. A wall of the tip end portion of each of spokes is thickened or reinforced to increase stiffness of the spokes.

    • A swing arm suspension for reducing the number of parts to thereby reduce the number of man-hours for assembly, the weight and the cost. The swing arm suspension includes a pivot plate provided with a pivot shaft, a swing arm having a rear end portion supporting a rear wheel that is swingably mounted at a front end portion to the pivot shaft and a shock absorber that is mounted at an upper end portion to the swing arm and connected at a lower end portion through a link mechanism to a portion of the pivot plate at a lower level than the pivot shaft. An exposing portion is provided for exposing a shock absorber arrangement space to an upper space above the swing arm. At least one of a subtank and an adjuster as functional components of the shock absorber is located in the exposing portion.
