摘要： According to one embodiment, an image erasing apparatus decolors an image printed on a paper sheet using an ink containing at least a leuco dye, a developer, water, a water-soluble organic solvent, and a surfactant. The image erasing apparatus includes a heating unit, a feedback mechanism, and a control unit. The heating unit heats the paper sheet. The feedback mechanism supplies the paper sheet heated by the heating unit to the heating unit again. The control unit causes the feedback mechanism to supply the paper sheet to the heating unit a plurality of times so as to heat the paper sheet a plurality of times.

摘要： A magnetic tape which comprises a nonmagnetic support, a magnetic layer which is formed on one surface of the nonmagnetic support, and a backcoat layer which comprises a binder and nonmagnetic powder containing carbon black as a component and which is formed on the other surface of the nonmagnetic support, having pits for optical servo formed thereon, characterized in that the average of the reflectance on the flat portion of the backcoat layer is 8.5% or higher, and that the maximum rate of fluctuation of the reflectance on the flat portion, depending on a position of the magnetic tape: [Maximum of absolute value of (Reflectance−Average reflectance)]×100/(Average reflectance) is 10% or lower. This magnetic tape is high in the initial S/N of the servo signal, and also high in the S/N of the servo signal found after the magnetic tape is run twice.

摘要： A mail server and mail terminals are connected through a radio communication network. The mail server makes viral infection decision of if e-mails are infected with computer virus without burdening the mail terminals having poor processing power. The mail terminals are constructed to serve as small-sized mail terminals. When an e-mail arrives at the mail server through the Internet, the mail server decides if the e-mail is infected with virus. The result of the viral infection decision is added as the whole or a part of inspection information within the header of the e-mail. The corresponding mail terminal can detect presence or absence of viral infection on the basis of the inspection information. When the e-mail is infected with virus, the mail terminal can inform a user of the contaminated e-mail by making tone of a buzzer or vibrator different from a normal e-mail.

Based on this request, the response center acquires remedy information from a car manufacturer and makes arrangements for repair and provides this remedy information to a repair shop.

摘要： An optical recording disk intended only for the reproduction of a main information and used by a information management system has the attachment of a memory in which data for the management of the main information is written and read out easily and reliably. The memory has associated electromagnetic coupling means for transacting the record management data with and receiving power from a recording/reproduction apparatus. The electromagnetic coupling means is built in the memory or disposed in an annular or spiral form on the disk. The transmission frequency band for data transaction and power supply is set outside the main information reproduction frequency band. The memory is disposed in or on an appropriate plastic layer of the disk depending on the usage of the disk, and located in the inner or outer section of the recording medium forming area on the disk depending on the transmission band. This low-cost optical disk can be manufactured at a high reliability and high yield.
