摘要： A recording tape cartridge enabling proper assembly of a brake member which blocks rotation of a reel during non-use. A magnetic tape is wound on a reel accommodated in a case. The brake member is non-rotatably supported in the case and moves toward/away from a base portion inside a reel hub. Rotation of the reel is disabled when a brake gear provided at a disc portion meshes with gear teeth, and rotation is enabled when this meshing is released. Tapering walls stand along a circular periphery larger in diameter than an outer diameter of the brake member and coaxial with the hub. When the brake member is being inserted into the hub, the brake member is guided, at the disc portion and at a rim portion extending out from the disc portion, by the tapering walls to a position at which the brake gear meshes with the gear teeth.

The process includes the steps of: fixing a stamper having protrusions corresponding to pits for recorded information or a groove for tracking onto one mold unit of a pair of mold units of an injection molding machine; combining the mold units to form a closed cavity between the pair of mold units; charging a molten molding resin into the cavity; cooling the resin in the cavity to form a molded substrate; separating one mold unit from another mold unit; and releasing the molded substrate simultaneously from both mold units when the two mold units are separated from each other by applying pressurized air onto both sides of the substrate.

摘要： In a recording tape cartridge, a reel has a reel hub around which a magnetic tape is wound. An annular reel gear is formed at an outer surface of a bottom portion of the reel hub. Rotation of the reel is impeded by a braking member engaging with an engaging gear formed at an inner surface of the bottom portion. When a clutch member is pressed by a rotating shaft of a drive device, the clutch member is guided by rotation restricting ribs which are engaged with rotation restricting grooves such that relative rotation is impossible, and the clutch member moves in an axial direction of the reel and cancels engagement of the braking member with the engaging gear. A press operation surface and the rotation restricting grooves are positioned further toward a radial direction inner side than the reel gear.

A braking member is engaged with the engaging gear by an urging force and prevents the reel from rotating. A clutch member opposes a gear aperture at a radial direction inner side relative to the reel gear. An operationally pushed surface of the clutch member is pushed by a releasing surface of a drive device and the brake member is lifted, whereby rotation of the reel is enabled.
