    • A computer implemented method, a tangible computer usable medium, and a data processing system allocate materials to an automated purchase assembly conversion process to support a dynamic configure-to-order production operation. A configure-to-order backlog order is analyzed to determine demand for a particular purchase assembly. If the demand for the particular purchase assembly can be filled with an on-hand purchase assembly in inventory, the on-hand purchase assembly in inventory is allocated to fill the demand. If the demand for the particular purchase assembly can not be filled with an on-hand purchase assembly in inventory, a determination is made as to whether the demand for the particular purchase assembly can be filled by reallocating other similar on-hand purchase assembly in inventory and on-hand individual parts. If the demand for the particular purchase assembly can be filled by reallocating other on-hand purchase assembly in inventory and on-hand individual parts, the on-hand purchase assembly in inventory and the on-hand individual parts are reallocated to fill the demand.

    • The embodiments of a transcoding method, a transcoding device, and a communication apparatus are provided. The embodiment of a method includes: receiving a bit stream input from a sending end; determining an attribute of discontinuous transmission (DTX) used by a receiving end and a frame type of the input bit stream; and transcoding the input bit stream in a corresponding processing manner according to a determination result. Thereby, a corresponding transcoding operation is performed on the input bit stream according to the attribute of DTX used by the receiving end and the frame type of the input bit stream. In such a manner, input bit streams of various types can be processed, and the input bit streams can be correspondingly transcoded according to the requirements of the receiving end. Therefore, the average computational complexity and peak computational complexity can be effectively decreased without decreasing the quality of the synthesized speech.

    • Techniques for transmitting beacon signals to assist user equipments (UEs) perform cell search and techniques for detecting for beacon signals are described. In an aspect, cells may be assigned beacon patterns defined based on orthogonal grouping of subcarriers. U subcarriers usable for beacon may be arranged into G orthogonal groups, with each group including S subcarriers. different beacon patterns may be defined based on the G groups of S subcarriers. In another aspect, the cells may transmit their beacon signals at configurable transmit power levels, which may be determined based on target beacon detection performance. In yet another aspect, a UE may perform overlapping DFTs in order to capture more received power when symbol timing at the UE is not aligned with symbol timing of cells being detected. In yet another aspect, the UE may perform beacon detection with maximal likelihood decoding.
