    • A releasable cord coupler in a single embodiment consisting of an enlongated linear strap with a tapered tail, two apertures and a slot through the planar surface of the strap, a plurality of ratcheted teeth affixed to the bottom side of the strap, a slide located around the strap, and a head with a pawl inserted therein that receives the tail and engages the ratcheted teeth. The cord coupler prevents the accidental uncoupling of an electrical appliance from an electrical extension cord. The cord coupler may also be used to bind two extension cords.
