摘要： An apparatus for detecting gaseous aldehydes is disclosed which contains a detachable aldehyde capturing system and an aldehyde detection system. The gaseous aldehyde is passed across a semipermeable membrane with a solvent on the other side of this semipermeable membrane to dissolve and absorb the aldehydes from the gas. This system permits the concentration and detection of low concentrations of gaseous aldehyde in the sample for efficient measurement. The aldehyde dehydrogenase to produce NADH in an amount corresponding to the amount of aldehyde in the solvent. The aldehyde detection system measures the amount of NADH produced.

摘要： A spheroidal graphite cast iron article having a thin portion and a thick portion, the number of spheroidal graphite particles having a diameter of 2 .mu.m or more being 600 /mm.sup.2 or more and less than 2000 /mm.sup.2 in the thin portion and 130 /mm.sup.2 or more and less than 600 /mm.sup.2 in the thick portion, and spheroidization percentage being 70% or more in the thick portion, is produced by a method comprising the steps of: (a) preparing an iron-base alloy melt having a composition consisting essentially by weight of 3.0-4.0% of C, 0.8-1.7% of Si, 1.0% or less of Mn, 0.2% or less of P, 0.01-0.2% of S, the balance being substantially Fe and inevitable impurities; (b) desulfurizing the iron-base alloy melt to control the sulfur content of the melt to less that 0.01% by weight; (c) adding a sulfur-containing material to the melt in such an amount that the sulfur content of the melt becomes 0.011-0.03% by weight; and (d) adding an Mg-containing material and a lanthanide element to the melt to conduct a spheroidizing treatment.

摘要： In order to avoid the formation of smoke and HC when the compression ratio of a swirl chamber type Diesel engine is lowered either by design or by operation in rarified atmospheres, the fuel injector is located on one side of the center axis of the swirl chamber so as to maximize the distance for which the injected fuel can travel before contacting a wall of the chamber and the auxiliary transfer port through which a fraction of the injected fuel is fed to the main combution chamber is arranged so that the axis thereof intersects the axis of the fuel injector and therefore the trajectory along which fuel is injected, at a point defined within the swirl chamber per se and on the opposite side of the center axis with respect to the fuel injector.
